LessonInMachismo Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 http://parents.wwe.com/ Go here to see the free poster from WWE commemorating Black History Month. Let's see...Farooq, D-Von, Mark Henry... When is Hispanic History Month? I want that poster.
LessonInMachismo Posted February 15, 2005 Author Report Posted February 15, 2005 I thought Farooq was fired? He was laid off. But semantics... Anyways, he was still a part of their history.
Kardo Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 He's back as part of Public Relations.
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 When is Hispanic History Month? I want that poster. Outside of being made fun of like "they work for nickels", "eat tacos and burritos" and "sleep under sombreros", why should they? If Hispanics get it, lets just have everyone have a week. Jewish Week, Irish Week, Japanese Week, Chinese Week, Thai Week, Moracon Week, French Week, German Week, Italian Week, Dutch Week, Canadian Week, Russian Week... Black History Month is to recognize great leaders and people of the black community (who usually) had to do there thing with the white people laughing in their face and treating them like dirt.
Guest Pariah Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Guy in the black and white picture underneath Faarooq is Bobo Brazil right?
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Looks more like Rocky Johnson, since he's wearing a belt and Bobo never won anything.
CBright7831 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Why don't one of you order the poster to find out?
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Why would I want it? It has Ron Simmons, D'Von Dudley, AND Mark Henry on it. Youch, why not make a poster with Tyson Tomko, Gene Snitsky, and John Heindreich with "Hosses of the World" written on it? Only possible choices are Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson.
Guest Pariah Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Fair enough. How many black wrestlers/managers have their been in the WWF/E over the years? The Rock, D'Von Dudley, Mark Henry, Orlando Jordan, Rodney Mack, Shelton Benjamin, Booker T, Koko B Ware, Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas, Bobo Brazil, JYD, Bad News Brown, Kamala, Kama Mustafa/Godfather, Ahmed Johnson, D'Lo Brown, Slick, Clarence Mason, Teddy Long, Jazz

Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Rodney Mack had to be the whitest black guy I have ever seen besides Maven. Also, let us not forget Virgil, everyones favorite lackey.
cawthon777 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Looks more like Rocky Johnson, since he's wearing a belt and Bobo never won anything. Bobo wore the often forgotten WWWF US belt in the 70s.
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Also Bobo was never really in that good of shape, and was more stocky IIRC than tall and muscular.
Epic Reine Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 All the guys in the gray pics are the guys standing next to them. The guy you're all referring to is Shelton Benjamin.
LessonInMachismo Posted February 15, 2005 Author Report Posted February 15, 2005 Was Ernie Ladd ever in (W)WWF?
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Oh wait, thats Ron Simmons (Benjamin is probably in the picture next to him, not 2 away). Damn... I thought it was only WWF pictures (thats the outfit Simmons wore on and off during his WCW face-run). Benjamin also never wore a speedo as a champion, and doesn't have hair.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Was Ernie Ladd ever in (W)WWF? He's in the hall of Fame, along with Johnny Rodz (another black man)
CBright7831 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 What about The Grand Wizard of Wrestling?
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 He's in the HoF too, I think (although it's not really a credible HoF).

cawthon777 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 What about The Grand Wizard of Wrestling? He's in the HOF ... but not black.
LessonInMachismo Posted February 16, 2005 Author Report Posted February 16, 2005 I thought it was hilarious when he was "Mr. Huge" as Jericho's bodyguard. The way Jericho said it was just great. So Ladd and Rodz are in the WWE HoF? If Huge and Rodz had a team, they could be the Huge Rodz...
Youth N Asia Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 A picture of Mark Henry and the word "excelence" do not belong on the same page/poster/anything.
LessonInMachismo Posted February 16, 2005 Author Report Posted February 16, 2005 A picture of Mark Henry and the word "excelence" do not belong on the same page/poster/anything. ^ That's even funnier if imagined being spoken in JBL's voice.
Youth N Asia Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah, that makes it way better.
