Zero Hour 2005 Feedback!

Recommended Posts

Leave the feedback here. I know I will.

Skimming through it, I could tell it looks to be a great show. I'll definitely be reading through the PPV later on.

I'll edit in more feedback later, but here are some quick and dirty thoughts (I haven't been keeping up, so I might be a little hazy on things):

- First off, the Crystal turn I was NOT expecting at all, and I had to reread that part two or three times just to make sure I was reading it right.

- Kind of a surprise to see such a squash in the first match. I'm guessing the Love Doctors are going "away" for a while?

- The 6 person was really fun. I could totally picture James E. pulling that sort of stuff in a real match.

- I mark for Drek, that is all.

- The PRL/Panther match was a good (but really, really long) match/brawl, but I don't know if I liked the ending with Panther pulling an Artest with the riot and all.

- I skimmed the Anderson Cup final, but it looked like good ol' tag team action.

- Axel/Cappa didn't really have a complex angle behind it (just simple "I'm better than you and want to prove it" stuff, which always works), and was well done with Cappa looking very strong. Like I said, the Crystal turn was totally out of left field to me because I've always thought she was an uber-face. Should be an interesting twist to things.

- Zack/Josie I've only skimmed as well, but the development of that tag team of Rush and Faqu have been written very well (that match with Zack on HD accomplished showing their improvement nicely).

- I mark for K.U.R.T. as well. Hope that saves Knight from a stinging if/when he comes back.

- Haven't read the X-Title match, although I really liked the one on HD.

- Interesting Prince Killings thing. I guess he's some sort of "action star" gimmick? Or are there Russians taking over office buildings in Idaho regularly?

Haven't read the rest, excepting the World Title finish (hey, I was curious), so more later.

More (and by "more" I mean "some") feedback later, but just major props to KC for nailing the Stevens character and writing what I thought was the second-best match on the card. Because...I mean, I'm not usually into my own stuff, but I thought NYU and I tore it down, tonight. :D

Great show tonight, from everybody. More (some) later.

I'm going to leave feedback on everything as I read the show. Before going further though I just have to say I'm going to be honest as always so don't go expecting a verbal blowjob just because I'm leaving feedback. If I don't like something then I won't have a problem saying so, just as if somebody didn't like something I did they shouldn't feel guilty about voicing it either. Without true criticism nobody gets better. So here goes...

Opening to the show was alright. I just got finished watching South Park and it seems to have the same brand of humor. I don't know if I like that robot though. I do however strongly dislike Warren Peace having Gorilla Monsoon's pic. Maybe its because I still believe the greatest image ever is Gorilla Monsoon standing next to AngleSault to do the commentary for War Gheyms...either way I just don't dig it.

Gotta love Patty's promos. I often wonder who inspired Alix. I hope it turns out to be Patty's 18+ year old sister who we'll see naked photos of sooner rather than later. Nice use of the Oscars too.

I don't approve of beating up KISS. They're the greatest band in history to see live! You bastards! 3 minute tag title squash and I start to get the feeling I'm watching the Invasion era WWF where the WCW tag titles meant nothing and changed hands via quick squashes often.

Nice Elite promo although at times I felt as if I were in pun central

Maybe its just me but Popick's character having any power at all and being able to basically over-ride the GM or whomever's in charge just seems lame. Also calling it his PPV just because he posted it just seems lame. Unless this PPV was named because of him long ago then I just don't see the need for that part. Popick the person posted the show, not the e-fed character. The character should also have no ability to book or anything. He isn't GM or Chairman of the Board or anything from what I've read.

I've always enjoined The Saints entrance although it sounds like something straight out of gay porn. Whomever does the writing duties for this makes me miss Jim Cornette too. He's the type of manager that the WWF/E could have desperately used with some of their newer talent back when I watched.

COACH

(singing)

Is this love that I'm feeling?

Holy shit, Coach singing a line from an old WhiteSnake love ballod...that caught me off guard.

Jim knees Holly in the cooch so she gives him head repeatedly? I don't know if Phenom is old enough to be reading this. This was however a great match and had alot of fast paced action. Good technical wrestling, good team chemistry, and an ending I didn't see coming. Well done.

Nice promo by Black-T and I enjoyed the use of their showing how their previous matches ended since I haven't been here the whole time. Still, its interesting to see them call Drek the man when they have the egomaniac that is Malibu in there. Be interesting to see how he reacts to it if he does at all.

Either way its 2am here right now and I'm tired. I'll finish this up tommorow.

Let's see how far through I can get in one attempt:

Liked the opening segment. I love robots of all kinds, especially one with an acronym that’s a name. I picture K.U.R.T. as the little flying thing from the Halo game. But that’s because I’ve just been playing it. A lot.

OAOAST goes Hollywood! Trademark Alix lunacy~! Poor Terry Taylor. Being an interviewer in this company must come with a big medical bill.

Oh no! The Docs attitude cost them the titles. What will happen next? Stay tuned!

Nice T.O.E. segment building up the importance of Zack’s match.

Popick arrives…umm…a good arrival?

Tony has *really* been on a roll with the Saints-NNMX feud and this match continued it. Solid match, great Cornie work. Tony’s great at recreating the feel of these old school characters. The turn actually caught me by surprise. I like Cornette back with the Express.

Cool look back on the Black T-GPX history. It’s little touches like this that make the big matches seem that little bit more important. GPX with a little arrogance in their promo, good to see a serious side from them.

Aw, Drek gets screwed again. Good little segment.

Decent Panther-PRL match. The crowd riot was an interesting finish, but its more of a way to end a show than a midcard match, especially as we have the rest of the show which doesn’t refer to the riot again. Match itself was solid, although after all the big moves and finishers that were hit, there really should have been a winner.

Heh. Pussy. Erotic sci-fi, how silly…anyone…anyone know where that’s sold? Just asking, for a friend?

Wow, great graphic for the Anderson Cup match. On re-reading this, I wasn’t 100% happy with my match here, the finish relied too much on the referee looking the other way, but hopefully the rest comes across ok.

I liked the technical wrestling start to Cappa-Axel. Spot the Family Guy joke! Good action, Cappa showing well. And an excellent heel turn. I liked the shocked effect everyone had, rather than screaming and shouting. I’ve been looking forward to the turn. Hopefully now Crystal goes all Trish style slutty and starts doing Mean Gene in front of Axel. Or something.

More groinal abuse, this time for Zack! This was not a good night for men. Mr. Malibu’s bad run with the chicks continues. Fun match, liked the wild finishing sequence.

Enjoyed the X title match, Rodez and Stevens have some chemistry. This put Rodez over nicely without hurting Stevens.

Prince Killings seems…interesting. Not sure what to expect here, which is always good leading up to a debut.

Loved Dude-Calvin. Aww, poor Cappetta, I always liked the lil fella. The Dude’s evil craftyness is working for me, and there were some nice spots in here, especially the tornado DDT off the guard rail and tornado sleeper slam. The interaction between the two was great, and the determination of both men really made the match feel important. In fact, I’m going to go ahead and call this my MOTN.

Continuing a theme, aww, poor Axel. Ahahaha.

World Title match – excellent. Drek going after the ribs of Hoff was a good story, and in a card full of spinebusters it was nice to see something as simple yet underused as an abdominal stretch. Not that there’s anything wrong with spinebusters, there just seem to be a lot of them about right now, you bunch of Batista marks. :)

Nice touch with Drek using Chris Steven’s tactics. The ending kinda dragged down a good match for me, I’d have liked to see a clean finish in the main event, but it was pretty dramatic and entertaining nonetheless. Maybe Axel-Hoff-Drek 3-way for AM?

Overall, I’d say this perhaps wasn’t quite as good as Anglepalooza, but still an excellent show.

Here's are some quick comments.

It's already been said, but Papacita did a great job with the logo and the graphics. I didn't expect to see new pics used for Black T. We're wearing suits now!

Maybe it was placement, but I didn't understand the K.U.R.T. segment. This sci-fi stuff isn't my cup of tea, but I do appreciate the content because it's somebody contributing, and that's all you can ask for in an e-fed.

Another classic C.O.D. promo. Alix's ramlings continue to make for some funny reading. I liked the way Alix talked about Arn Anderson being a dude who hung around horse people and beat on Sting because maybe they were U2 fans or something.

They have Motorhead, we have KISS! And it isn't even AM yet. I should of suspected KISS wouldn't come out of this in one peace, so I was surprised to see The Sadist chokeslam Gene Simmons. Like Cole said: "Squash-arrific." I know the Docs and the Hitmen have floated around since coming off feuds with Black T and the NNMX respectively, but hopefully this is the start of something big for both teams.

Good little segment backstage w/The Original Elite. I do have to agree with FM about Josie seemingly having to share power on PPVs. While I think evil owner/GM has run its course (I know we used Watts, but he was supposed to be a throw back to Jack Tunney where he'd only appear for something important, instead he became a very focal point of the show) Josie, who's started to grow on me, has been pretty good.

This may be a good time to tell everybody Watts is coming back at AM for the opening. OAOAST Entertainment was restructured after owner Donald Trump decided to venture the OAOAST into the movie business, opening up a OAOAST film division, OAOAST Joints or whatever name you'd want. Watts is now the Executive Vice President of Wrestling Operations. Josie is in complete control of HD. It shouldn't be a problem because we did this back when there were IZ and HD GMs and it worked fine.

I'm rather proud of the 6 person tag match, not because I think it's the best match I've written (that's C.O.D.-Black T) but because I wrote and then rewrote the son-of-a-bitch 6 times in two days. That might not sound unusual to some of you, but to somebody who likes having a couple of weeks to write his PPV match, this was a helluva effort on my part to make sure I didn't turn in a piece of crap like I nearly did before sucking it up and doing my best to produce something respectable. So thanks to those who have commented positively on the match. And if anybody ever wants to write a promo or use Cornette, let me know. I know I suggested some things to Zack involving the NNMX and Rodez, who seems like a fellow Cornette mark.

Very good GPX promo. Are they...? Hmm.

Shocked by Crystal's turn. I didn't expect to her and Axel kiss and make up, but I didn't think she'd be the one to turn.

Nice job to whoever did the Anglepalooza DVD spot.

I'm one who believes the champions should come out last, so I liked how it was explained Hoff would be coming out first. Makes sense considering we're in his hometown.

Enjoyed the Rodez promo. Laughed at "Star Whores: The Phantom Penis."

While I only skimmed Panther-TPR, it did seem a bit too long.

We finally played up on Tony's last name being "Brannigan" by having J.R. dressed up as Kif. Nice touch having Melvin Nerdly do the announce cameo. The men who make up Black T aren't too happy with their matches! But I thought the ACF was good. Some nice action, Coach chopping himself so he could prove the fans will "woo" after a chop no matter who's throwing it, to the timekeeper ringing the bell early after the OOB. I also noticed an unusual amount of F bombs used this time out. Then again, this is PPV, right?

The Prince Killings teaser was great.

Soild little Malibu-Josie match. I should of left the lariat Zack wrote for me in the end, but I changed it to an OOB on the floor. :(

Disappointed to see the Dude lose, but I understand why Calvin won.

I skimmed everything else, hope to read the rest soon, but the show looked great. 3 non-finishes? Is that the most we ever had on a show?

GENE

Oh, I am down with it, my pimps.

Picturing Mean Gene say this is hilarious. Funny promo by GPX. I haven't seen that movie where Jamie Kennedy is a major wigger but they remind me of commercials I saw back in the day of it. It would be pretty funny to see them only like the type of girls that Ripper does.

The commercials of upcoming OAOAST DVDs is always a nice touch.

I liked the Drek promo but the saying he hopes Malibu beats her senseless was a bit of overkill. I think its obvious how he feels on that situation from earlier in the convo.

Circle jerk by Triple-C to start the Panther and PRL match and over done to boot. I was waiting for the three of them to go off and frolic together afterwards. Coach or Cole saying they're excited is more than enough. However I will give props for the quick change of attitude in Caboose on the sneak attack. Too much talking and I'm starting to get bored reading this. When there is action its a nice slugfest but at the moment its degenerated into a slapping contest and made it seem like its all starting over again. Its dragging for me at the moment. Good god is there a lot of commentary in this. There's more commentary than wrestling. I have a short attention span and at this point I'm bored and wanting to watch the last 15min of Maury Povich...but like the little trooper I am I will continue to read this. Everytime the action starts to pick up and get me slightly into it there's like 5 mini paragraphs of commentary. Can you tell I think there's too much commentary? If not then let me tell you, there's TOO MUCH COMMENTARY. I'm bored beyond belief and can get myself to read no more. My suggestion is more action and less commentary. Maybe others liked it and will disagree with me, but I was bored stiff.

However it did involve Panther and at this point I would just like to say that Papacita is the mother fucking man when it comes to these graphics. If he stopped doing these then I'd be sad. First thing I did when I opened the PPV was scroll down and check out the graphic for The 70s Dude vs Calvin. Didn't read the match yet, just checked out the graphic. I'm saving that bitch to my computer as its just awesome.

I like the Rodez interview but the Adult Industry has actual awards. Still, "Star Whores: The Phantom Penis" is a great title. Set up the match later with Stevens nicely.

Awesome exchange between Hell-Mel and Cole before the match. Somebody likes making a fool out of Coach and I'm enjoying them doing so. I thought that Arn Anderson would be the Special Ref for all of this though :( Great tag match though and it reminded me alot of the Old Minnesota Wrecking Crew vs The Rock'n'Roll Express at the start before going off into its own thing. I would have liked a better finish but otherwise I was entertained.

I'm going to go play a game of ESPN MLB 2K5 though as I'm still suffering the effects of trying to read the boredom that was PRL and Panther. More later.

a little work on my Red Sox franchise in the game and I'm back now.

So on to Cappa and Axel's match which starts out with unfunny commentary. Once again though I do appreciate and enjoy the little flashback sequences.

COLE

Cappa could be getting frustrated here...

No, I think that's me. I'm a little ways into it and I'm starting to think that after it was written they ran it through the CWM Spell Check. I can understand one or two but its like there's a fucked up version of a word every other line. When you have a short attention span it weighs on you to constantly go back and reread them to get what they were suppose to be. As I hit the blatant ripoff of a sequence from the Family Guy I have to say that some of the action thus far is good while some just doesn't make sense. Usually when somebody misses a clothesline from the top they lay strewn on the mat...with this however its like he stopped mid-air and was able to turn his body 90 degrees clockwise to land on his feet. As I finish reading that I have to wonder; Commercials in a PPV? Its also ironic that the picture associated with Axel is the Undertaker since Cappa got the same kind of treatment he would have facing Taker. Cappa came out of this looking like horse shit. Really, Axel just threw him about like a rag doll(not talking about the former e-fed wrestler either) and Cappa didn't come out really putting up much of any offense. Crystal probably hit Axel in the head with the chair because he wouldn't put the other talent over. In the end it was just a glorified squash to set up a future feud. I feel sorry for Cappa's character as I don't think he has any real momentum now.

Time for Malibu and Josie Baker it seems. Josie is a smoker so hopefully after a few min of running around and doing stuff she'll cough up a lung. The match ends and my head is spinning as I don't have a fucking clue as to who half the people that came running in are. Oh well, it was a nice little match and served its purpose. I don't recall what they call them but it was the type of match you put inbetween two high profile matches so the crowd can regain themselves. I don't remember the last time Malibu has won a match. Since he's jobbing left and right maybe they'll have him throw the Pheonix mask on soon.

More exciting feedback to come~

Ha! The robot stung Popick...but it stung The Dude at a house show too. The little bugger is starting to make me mark for it. I heard Popick has had that Italian Chamipnship for about a year and hasn't defended it. Usually they strip people of titles when they don't do that. Regardless I think the X-Title and The Heavyweight Title are enough. Maybe a match later on to unify the 24/7 and X-Title together will happen. Speaking of the X-Title its time for Stevens and Rodez(you all know you like how I went full circle there)

Fast paced action thus far and its the kind I like. Does anybody else think of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh when they see Jumbo? He's just slow and rather than argue against anything he's all "oh bother" and just goes and does it. I believe the last time somebody won by pinning the person with the Figure Four was during a Flair match where Arn used brassnucks on Flair's opponent while the ref was distracted. I want to say it happened against Sting when he started to grow his hair but before the nWo came on to the scene. If KC wrote this whole thing which Hoff gave me the impression that he did, then KC has used alot of Hofficities in this match. Mainly through the commentary though, all things I would think Hoff wrote. Really long match but at the same time very enjoyable. Thus far its my favorite of the show, but that could change as the show aint over. Both men looked real good coming out of this match and Jumbo still resembles Eeyore.

The Prince Killings thing bored me halfway through it so I skipped over it. Oh well.

I'll feedback the Hoff stuff last since I can always talk to Calvin on AIM about how I felt our match went. Haha NYU and Hoff, you have to wait for feedback!

Forget just saving it for AIM, that match rocked. Calvin and The Dude tore the house down. A few moves by the Dude that I'd rather not see become regular things as he's a big fatty that could hurt himself doing those kinds of things. Maybe I'm biased but this beat Stevens and Rodez and that wasn't looking like an easy thing to do. The 70s Dude aint done though, not by a long shot...OH!...have mercy.

Yeah, PRL's matches are usually much, much too long and wordy to really read in one sitting. Using all caps to convey excitement is also way too overused.

Feedback. Out of order as always. I skimmed over a lot of things.

The riot was a great ending. Artest style~! I think it would’ve been better suited as a main event, because everything after a riot is just a bit of a letdown. And its odd when no one mentions it again. A riot is crazy! I’d talk about that all night!

That Crystal heel turn was cool. It reminded me of when I saw Torrie Wilson punt Billy Kidman in the nuts once on Nitro. Strangely enough they were back together two months later. I actually didn’t expect her to turn. Crystal that is, not Torrie. Although I didn’t expect Torrie to turn on Kidman either. I agree with Eski, Crystal should start doing Mean Gene. I’d do Mean Gene.

La Main Event! I usually just look at how a match is written as opposed to its “wrestling “ merits And this was a well written main event full of great dramatic tension! And speaking of drama, what about the after match beat down by Axel and subsequent breakdown? Great stuff. NYU is on a roll in terms of quality matches and that Hoff guy is okay too. I thought this was better then last month’s I Quit.

As usual Eski does a hilarious job with the announcers. I always have a hard time writing them because whenever I think of something funny for them to say I ask myself “why waste it on the announcers?” and just end up sticking them with stupid crap. And I don’t know enough about wrestling to make them sound insightful. Fuck the announcers.

K.U.R.T spoke! Hahahha! If he was somehow smarter then all four of them and managed to win the 24/7 title from them, that would rule.

Bill Watts is coming back? AH! ACK! Tony, after all I’ve done for you, this how you repay me?

If this were real life I’d assume The Docs brought shame and dishonor to the company by punching a cop or beating up a hooker and were being punished for such, but in terms of the storyline of them being over confident jerks with big heads, the squash makes sense. Squashing Kiss, however, is soooo not cool.

The NNMX/Holly match was what I was most looking forward to and I wasn’t disappointed. Tony, you wrote that thing six times? What a perfectionist! Anyway the feud has done a lot for The NNMX and Holly, three people who didn’t have much in the way of personality before.

Gotta love Patty's promos. I often wonder who inspired Alix. I hope it turns out to be Patty's 18+ year old sister who we'll see naked photos of sooner rather than later. Nice use of the Oscars too.

I really should’ve done it where Al and Kris were interviewed when all the stars were there on the carpet. But I didn’t know the exact time that the PPV would be posted so I just did the pre taped thing. I could’ve done a more entertaining segment if I did it the other way but its too late now.

See, I always thought that in storyline terms it was acknowledged that Popick “produced” the PPVs! That seems different because normally the technical aspects of a show aren’t discussed in the story, but I swear I remember it being mentioned. Why did I put an exclamation point at the end of that first sentence? Was it really that important?

Also, Cole is a liar and a whore! GPX faced Chicks Over Dicks in that tag team tourney last year, that saw Damaramu throw a huge hissy fit over having to have Skull Mask and Skull Kid job to girls. Man, I thought I was the only one who didn’t like Dama.

Jamie Kennedy is a major wigger but they remind me of commercials I saw back in the day of it. It would be pretty funny to see them only like the type of girls that Ripper does.

I don’t know who Ripper is, GPX does remind me of B-Rad G (the Jamie Kennedy character you’re thinking of)

I have to pee. Bye!

Just for the opening with Schiavone and Ventura because I'm a mark for that going back to when WCW was doing it in 1992.

Believe me, I'm no perfectionist, I just didn't want to turn in a poor match. Like I said earlier, I like writing my matches days in advance and I didn't do it this month because I was lazy. The match would of been longer but I cut a lot out. Good thing I did because I think it would of bogged down everything.

Feedbackery.

- So this whole KURT thing is seriously growing on me. Truth be told -- and Adam here is inspiring me to be truthful -- I thoguht that the DoC was going to be just another stable. The Kurt thing and the silly edge to it makes the group fun to read. One thing I like about the OAOAST is that there's room for both serious bits and comedy. So yeah, I liked this. Ending with "BB, TWIL!" was a nice touch.

- COD is the best interview in the fed, easy. The dynamic of Alix's insane ramblings being backed up by Krista's serious-but-over-the-top ones is very great. Somehow, reminds me of the Hart Foundation.

- I would have figured there'd be more build for KISS, but I liked it. I'm of the mind that you DON'T have to save all the "big events" for Mania and the like. HH destroying them was a nice touch. As for the match, I think it served its purpose. The Docs weren't focused on their wrestling, and they paid for it. I would have liked to see it go more than twelve seconds, though. The same could have been accomplished with a few minutes more of action, or perhaps even enhanced by the Docs' antics.

- Black T were their usual, charismatic selves, saying they don't trust Zack without saying it. I enjoyed.

- The Joseph promo was....weird. It seems like we get a lot of cryptic things from SJ that never really GO anywhere. I'd like some resolution. Not necessarily tonight, but sometime.

I can't focus right now, so I'll join the trend and do MORE LATER~

I liked the Drek promo but the saying he hopes Malibu beats her senseless was a bit of overkill. I think its obvious how he feels on that situation from earlier in the convo.

The point -- oh, by the way, I wrote this little bit -- of Drek throwing the line in at the end was to emphasize how much of a dick Drek is. That we all knew how he felt is exactly the point. He didn't HAVE to say that he wanted Josie to get hurt; he said it to rub it in her face, to get the last word, to take one more shot. He's RUDO, baby!

So I'm feedbacking the Main Event before I go to sleep or else NYU may hunt down my phone-number online and call me at various hours to wake me up and do so. How about that match before the Main Event though? That was really something...maybe Drek should have been slipped into the #2 slot again. I think NYU is fine with that.

I'm not done reading it yet but...

"THE AMERICAN DREAM" DUSTY RHODES

HE BE CLUBBERIN, TONY!!

YES! YES! YES! Hoff be uh clubberin~! *marks wildly* Got through what appears to be the initial match and controvery~ Alot of action and power moves with some good rest holds mixed in. Solid booking overall and it sucks to see it not get a real ending. I see that Josie comes out but the words on my screen are all blurry right now from being tired so I'll give my thoughts on that later after sleep. Still, thus far props to Hoff and NYU as it was a good Main Event caliber match.

On a not really feedback related topic, is anyone else a little tired of the Triple C announce team? I've found it really hard to write anything vaguely good for them lately. It just seems the Cole Is Gay thing is in every other bit now. Maybe some fresh characters would help us all out in match writing?

Alternatively, I am wrong, and I will go sit in the corner.

I can see where you're coming from. Personally, I've always been a fan of the J.R./Ventura announce team used on IZ and all the PPVs after our October 2002 PPV up till Triple C took over after the IZ/HD merger. J.R. was a hybrid of his NWA and WWF/E shilling self and Jesse Ventura was Jesse Ventura. I also think it's a lot easier writing for 2 announcers instead of 3. My matches would show Cole and Caboose dominate the announcing while Coach is quiet most of the time.

Since you mentioned it. If we ever changed the announce team, who would people like to see take over?

Seeing as we're used to a comedic announce team, Josh Matthews should be in it. Then, someone else...and we should have an OAOAST legend/veteran to replace Caboose, to stick with the 3 man format we have.

Ok, I finished reading the whole thing and I have to ask; When did Axel become Triple-H? I mean really the Main Event turns into a segway for other feuds which disappoints me because the meat of the match was really good. It was over-booked and if it were real there would be alot of disappointed and annoyed fans right now. By that I mean its taking place in Hoff's hometown and he doesn't even get to be the beneficiary of a clean win or loss? Not even that but it makes Drek Stone look as though he can't retain the title without help. If the point of the show was to elevate Axel at the expense of three people then way to go, you did just that. However now Cappa looks like doggy turds, Drek looks like a weak champ coming off a PPV where he looked downright nasty but AJ Flaire came off looking strong as well, and Hoff looks like somebody who's there to just fill space until another feud.

I have to agree with Mystery Eskimo though. Anglepalooza was better as it had a cast of people coming out looking stronger and primed to have a good 05. Now it just looks like the Axel show with everybody involved with him being a distant second.

Axel is heading into a Heavyweight Title shot at AngleMania. Considering he's never truly be in such a high-profile Main Event spot before, it's important that he's built up.

As for your other comments -- wait to see what happens in the next few weeks. Then you'll see why we went with that finish.

It might have been a good idea to build him up and then throw him in the Main Event rather than throw him in the Main Event and build him up in a month at the expense of making the other Main Event talent look bad. That's my opinion though and I'll just end my feedback at that.

That really isn't what we did. Axel HAS had his share of Main Event spots before. Last Summer, he feuded with Thrillogy for the most part. Made an anticipated high-profile return against Hoff in July. Was in the Main Event of the September PPV in a casket match against Zack Malibu. Main Event in the November PPV in the Elimination Chamber. Main Event of the December PPV against Ragdoll in the Careers match. Main Event of the January PPV, winning the Lethal Rumble. It's not like he's never been in a Main Event spot before.

But the primary concern right now, at least for me, is to build up Axel's credibility as not just a Main Eventer, but a possible Heavyweight Champion. And an actual rivalry between Axel and Drek Stone still needs to be built up as well. This Sunday played a huge part in that. The next few weeks will play a huge part in that as well.

Personally, I didn't find the Axel/Cappa match to be too severe of a squash, and I didn't think he made Cappa look too bad there. And the way I see it, Axel blindsided an absolutely exhausted Drek Stone and Hoff at their end of their match, simply to show his anger and confusion over the situation with Crystal. I don't think anyone necessarily looked bad there because of Axel -- or looked bad whatsoever. The nonfinish may be a little frustrating, but it really is needed for what the plan is scheduled to be.

Like I said, it will all be revealed soon.

With that being said, my feedback will most likely be posted tomorrow. But more feedback on the Hoff/Drek match~! Talk about how great the action was~! How shitty the ending was~! Let all your feelings known!

If you want to change the announcers be my guest. If you want a former wrestler in there you can use Northstar, because I'll never want to bring him back or run an angle with him.
