Guest Jack Potts Report post Posted March 1, 2005 The award goes to Trish Stratus!! When Trish first showed up in the 'E (or 'F at the time), I remember rolling my eyes in disgust and embarassment at her lame promo as she introduced her new tag team T'n'A. She was awful, awful, awful on the mic. We've all marveled at how far she's come in the ring and behind the mic, but I just wanted to give a shout out to that awsome improv she did last night after the Chick Kick to Christy Hemme. The attitude that Trish exuded when she improvised the line, "Damn, you've got a hard head, girl. You broke my shoe," was so natural, cool, and so utterly in character. Awesome stuff! Batista came in a close second for his bakstage promo with the Coach. The feigned terror when he learned that HHH was gunning for him was a great touch to his character. The crowd popped for it pretty well, too. Although Batista gave a light, comic touch to the moment, his delivery didn't diminish the threat of HHH, it was just his way of saying, "Duh! Of course HHH is after me." Batista's calm, composed promos delivered in a natural speaking voice are such a breath of fresh air after all the growling, scowling, shouted promos we normally hear. The Buzz 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 I enjoyed the two Batista inteviews and the Edge promo. Both guys are playing their characters well and deserve the push they are getting.

AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 If by push he meant "jobbed out and forgetten", then yes.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 I've yet to take an Edge promo seriously. I just can't. He is so BAD at the intense bad-ass role that I can't help but laugh at him. Sid and the Ultimate Warrior cut better bad ass promos than Edge. Batista does the cool relaxed guy promos well, but he needs to quit saying his opponents name and the match over and over again. His facial expressions are classic though.

Who exactly is the person that teaches the wrestlers to do the intense interview?

Who exactly is the person that teaches the wrestlers to do the intense interview? No one can be taught that and if someone is coaching him, they really need to fire that person tonight. I just don't think Edge is a guy who I can see as intense.
