Almost the same game as GT3, but I like the huge expansion of the car roster. But most of all, it has the DeLorean. 1.21 Jigawatts of Ownage, mofos!

I have to agree with that, which is why I haven;t played GT3 that much.

NFS Underground is another story entirely. It might just be the extra Fast and Furious effects they threw in there, but when you have your tricked out ride doing 180 down the freeway, you actually *feel* like you;re going that fast.

I'll third that as well. Even though it was totally arcadey, Burnout 3 made me feel like I was screaming down the roads with the blur effects and the crashes. Knowing I'm only going to come to a stop after missing a turn or bumper-car the AI cars through a corner in Gran Turismo just isn't fun anymore.

This month's Edge magazine gave it 7/10.

"Steering is a little twitchy..."

"Often races in GT4 can be won with ease or not at all...fail and you'll have to exercise supernatural restraint and prescience when shopping for new parts if you don't want to annihilate the competition on the second go"

"Not all of the 700 cars can actually be raced..."

"The cars, road surfaces and track furniture sport a slightly artifical plastic sheen..."

I know a buddy at work who will definitely buy it though and I guess I can borrow it off him in a couple of months. But dammit they really need to start fixing up some of the bugbears of the series like the AI and the car damage.
