The Czech Republic Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 The old Smythe-Norris-Adams-Patrick alignment was the best, and that included Toronto grouped with Midwestern cities. Also, this alignment was something that Gary Bettman got rid of, so that makes it better as well.
nl5xsk1 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Can I completely deviate and say that I'd choose either an all "Original Six" division or an all Canadian division rather than either of our arguments? I'd rather see the Bruins play the Wings, Hawks & Rangers six times a year than the Sabres or Senators. (I skipped the Leafs and Habs because both are currently with the B's). And I'd rather see the Canadian teams play each other more often, build up those rivalries. Also, this alignment was something that Gary Bettman got rid of, so that makes it better as well. Agreed.
Vasarian_Brandy Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I personally have to go with the Oilers era... Edmonton got me into hockey. And Gretzsky's a fucking God.
