Tawren 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 He's better than a slug like Masters, but not at the level of Orton or Cena. He's like a poor man's Christian, ie. Midcarder-for-Life. I disagree. Dupree is worlds ahead of Orton. Orton can't involve the crowd in his matches beside teenage shrieks, he often works long restholds into his matches, he can't sell worth shit (see the leg against HHH at the Royal Rumble), and his moveset is bland (he has the reverse headlock into midsection dealy, RKO, and punches). Dupree's moveset is almost equally bland, but I feel the way that he works it in to his matches is worlds ahead of Orton. As far as Cena is concerned, Cena is stuck big time into his formula which does work for crowd reactions and such but as far as quality is concerned really hampers his matches, and I'd say he is about equal with Dupree for charisma. I'll go on record saying this: Dupree/Taker is better than Orton/Taker will be. On a side note, jesus christ I did not realize I liked Dupree this much. Kardo 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Orton/Taker was a decent match in 2002. I sincerely doubt it will be at WM though.

Ditto Erik Watts. I enjoy Rene Dupree to an extent. I think he's got good heel charisma and the French Tickler is one of the best signature taunts in a while, but as a wrestler I just think he's so-so. However, considering his age, there's a lot of room for improvement with him and he's hopefully got a long career ahead of him where he can improve to the point where he'd be a viable uppercard/main event guy.
