So anyway, instead of having you reply and then explaining further (I tend to do that for dramatic effect, but I'm trying to cut down) I'll do it now.

 

Taking a franchise into space has been done many, many times, with everything from Bugs Bunny to the Muppets to Emmanuelle. If you want to narrow it down so much that a horror film in space has to be a direct imitation of Leprechaun, you should know that Hellraiser was in space that year as well, and Critters had done it five years previous. Interesting side note, Leprechaun, Hellraiser and Critters were all in space in their fourth movie.

V is the most underrated of the series. It's pretty universally acknowledged as the worst, I think just cause it wasn't really Jason. Put that aside and it had some of the best stuff. The reveal didn't bother me. If it looks like a duck, you know.

I believe they were trying to go in a different direction with 5 and didnt,therefore alot of people dont like it,i thought it was ok,i just wish that little black kid wouldve died,he was annoying

Well the thing was, Jason Voorhees was legit killed in part IV(The Final Chapter). And so Part V featured the guy dressing up as Jason in order to make everyone think it was Jason. Part V had some classic moments, merely for the fact thats some of those personalities at the retard-camp were unforgettable. The chick doing her electronica dance in her room was a classic scene.

 

sidenote: As stated before by me and others, Part VI(Jason Lives) is when Jason officially became a super-strength zombie version of himself, able to walk through such minor things as stabs and gunshots from smaller guns.

 

I think Part VIII is recognized as the worst, and most hated of the series, if only for the fact that the trailer advertised "Jason Takes Manhatten" yet the entire movie sanz the last fifteen minutes, took place on a cruise ship.
