Kardo Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Since it's already aired here in Australia. Bashams vs. Hass and Holly was okay, nothing special, nothing terrible, about *, creative finish though. Holly goes for an Alabama Slam on Danny and Doug dropkicks him into a sunset flip. Recap of Carlito and Undertaker. Recap of Cena and Teddy Long. Scotty II Hotty vs. Spike Dudley, decent match *, though again nothing special. Spike wins with a rollup after a suplex attempt into the ring. Recap of the end of the Tag Match from Smackdown. Run down of Wrestlemania card. Paul London vs. Akio for #1 contendership at Wrestlemania (Chavo on commentary). Goes over a commercial break Akio works on the leg after the break. Side Figure Four etc... Standard leg offence. London sells sooo well, finish wakes the crowd up. Akio goes for a top rop rana, London rolls through 1-2-3, looks so slick.
LessonInMachismo Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 This unintentional best of seven series is what Cena/Booker should have been. I swear, if this match is good, London is going to be my favorite current star. Even more than Batista. If the match isn't as good as the previous one, and he wears the crazy outfit, he will still be.
Silence Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 If the match isn't as good as the previous one, and he wears the crazy outfit, he will still be. You can almost predict that last part is still happening.
Kardo Posted March 12, 2005 Author Report Posted March 12, 2005 Actually there's a cute spot with the tassles. One falls off while Akio has London in the stretch muffler so he whips him with it
Toshiaki Koala Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I haven't read the spoilers, but it would be HAWT if the London/Akio match ended in some sort of draw (double pin, double countout) and resulted in a Triple Threat for the title at 'Mania. Of course, the match with Chavo will be on Heat. But it will still be intense, and that actually saves me the trouble of paying $50 to see the match (Michaels/Angle is the only other WM match that interests me).
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 This is so not the thread it should have been. I hate you all.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 SEE! VelocidayNightLive would have answered this. David Spade and Jack Johnson.
razazteca Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 David Spade will bring the workrate to the often average Weekend Update with Spade in America. But will it be better than London vs Akio?
Guest Fook_Theta Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I heard Akio grows fifty feet tall and brings the roof down upon London. confirm/deny
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I cannot confirm or deny. I am having nothing to do with this thread because someone decided to try and put themselves over at the expense of VNL and the Akio/London Wrestling Thrillogy.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Rudo defeats Velocity Thread in 12min 37sec using his finisher "Unfunny Babble".
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Romero said we'll have red hot action. I'm sure most people would say that Bashams don't equal red hot action.
razazteca Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 What is the deal with the bodyscissors sitting resthold? That has to be the worst move on tv today.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 http://s3.invisionfree.com/New_Millennium_...p?showtopic=223 I am protesting the creation of this thread. Holly sucks at the hot tag. That's my last contribution...
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 What is the deal with the bodyscissors sitting resthold? That has to be the worst move on tv today. You'd rather it be a chinlock? And I still say the Bashams should go with the Demolition look if they ever leave JBL's cabinet. Hell, they're about the same height as Ax and Smash were...
razazteca Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 At least the chinlock did not look like some Kama Sultra sex act.
Guest Shadow Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I was curious, is there a meaning behind Cena using "54" on his merch?
Guest Fook_Theta Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I wonder what a London vs Scotty Hotty would look like. London mocking the Worm and doing a standing 450 corkscrew? Or just channeling the Warrior and powerslamming him through the ring? Only time will tell. Ee-Cee-Dubya! Ee-Cee-Dubya! Ee-Cee-Dubya!
razazteca Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Spike Dudley with a new beard look......would you call this the nu-metal look?
Guest Shadow Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 and amazingly if you look at the roster of wwf in 1999 and in wwe 2005...About 12 are still active members...and amazingly S2H is one of those.
CanadianChick Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Ya know, you'd think that in a women's feud, if one is suppose to be jealous of the other, the 'jealous' one wouldn't be 10 times hotter than the person she is supposily jealous of. Seriously, in that WM XXI rundown, Trish looks so much better than Christy.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Different kinds of beauty. Christy is fresh and spunky, so I give her a bit on Trish, whom has looked ugly in the last year/six months with the kayfabed broke nose, black eye, and anything else I'm forgetting. I love how Liberace and the Rockettes didn't know how to get in a ring properally even when someone was holding the ropes open.
AndrewTS Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 The old guy with steel testicles--Vince has gotta steal that, considering what an important move the low blow is in wrestling.
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Ya know, you'd think that in a women's feud, if one is suppose to be jealous of the other, the 'jealous' one wouldn't be 10 times hotter than the person she is supposily jealous of. Seriously, in that WM XXI rundown, Trish looks so much better than Christy. But that could be a part of the feud. Trish feels that she's better looking than Christy is as well, and more noteworthy, yet this woman who isn't as good looking as her and not as great as she is is taking up all of her time.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Haha, excellent move with London faking Akio out but he probably should have hit the dropsault. Crowd wasn't expecting just a side headlock. Canadianchick, is it just me or is Akio getting a bit fat?
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I know it's pitiful, but everytime I see Akio in the ring, the first thing that comes to mind is "What is Sakoda doing these days?"
CanadianChick Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Canadianchick, is it just me or is Akio getting a bit fat? Are you insinuating I'm a petty girl that would notice something as insignificant as that?
tekcop Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Is it just me or does London have the best clotheslines in the history of cruiserweights?
Guest Fook_Theta Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 TNA time! Thanks for uploading those homegrown pics Canad.. Err nevermind. Another solid Akio vs London match. They're getting slightly better each week, more constant chopping and 'desperation' type scenario. London's transitions didn't work as well with the crowd this week, but that could just be a timing problem with booking. Fun match as usual. I'm going to go ahead and predict London will win at Wrestlemania due to the 'a face has to win / send crowd home happy' clause.
