Fuck.  Fuck.  Fuck.  I cannot believe U of L got a fucking 4 seed.  We are going to be top 5 in the new polls, we are 29-4.  What do we have to do, people?

Ooh ooh! I've got this one. Try beating one solid team. Conference USA's a glorified mid-major this year, and the Cardinals don't have one good non-conference win. I bet if Virginia played Louisville's schedule, they'd have maybe six or seven losses and they'd get to go to the NCAAs too.

Heh last night I was so pissed I accidentally posted under my bro's ID on here again, dammit. Anyway, Iggy we're gonna fuck your boys Ga Tech up (if they even beat GW) and if not then you have my permission to trash me all over this forum. We're going to prove ourselves in this tourney. And by the way we beat FL, who is a 4 seed and thus a solid team, so fuck you.

OK, Florida's fairly solid, but they hadn't come together at all yet in December, and when that's your best win of the year, it's nowhere near enough to justify a 2 seed. A 3 seed, I can almost see an argument, but I'd still put Louisville as a 4.

The only team above Louisville that doesn't deserve their seed is Arizona, and I'd say Boston College and Syracuse (regular season and tournament champs respectively, in a real conference) deserve it more than Louisville.

And while the Jackets don't usually blow people out, I guarantee that they will beat Louisville. Pittsburgh and Gonzaga worry me a little bit, but I think Louisville has a better chance of dropping the opener than they do of beating G. Tech.

If Louisville wins, you have full permission to "trash me all over this forum" to your heart's content. I'll try to be a little classier in victory, but if Jarrett Jack and Will Bynum both break their legs or something and Louisville wins, you go nuts.

Ummmm Iggy. Just some friendly advice with no snickering to go with it.

You still have George Washington to play, and the Yellow Jackets better not underestimate the A-10 Champion, even if it is in a Mid-Major Year.

Doing so will only doom them to lose.

Youre right about Florida not having it all together in December but youre discounting the quality of Conference USA. Now I'm not gonna sit here and say its the ACC, its clearly not. However, you had 4 tournament teams and 3 teams ranked in the top 25 most of the year. Plus, Depaul, Marquette and Memphis were no pushovers. So calling the CUSA a glorified mid-major is a misnomer. Louisville beat all of those teams some multiple times and I'm sorry you cant explain to me why a 29-4 team should be a 4 seed, its logic that simply doesnt add up. Now for the record I like GT a lot but I think they spent too much energy securing a spot in the tourney and wont have anything left in the tank in order to make a serious run. If the Cardinals and Yellow Jackets meet in the 2nd round (which I do project btw) it'll be close but in the end they will simply be too much for GT and will win by approx. 9-16 points.

Pretty unhappy at first that GW got shafted with a 12 seed but we got a hard draw in Gtech as a 5. We can beat them. They play the same style>>>run and gun/dunks/up and down court>>game could be in the 100's and a possible upset.

That's a laugh. When was the last time GW was in the NCAA? Tech's experience last year makes them easily the favorite, as if having Sch. back already didn't help them enough.

UConn is officially fucked depth wise, left with one point guard as AJ Price was out for the year, and now backup Kellog suspended for rule violations.

Marcus Williams better do some squats or something, he'll be playing a shitload the longer UConn advances.

Georgia Tech clinched a spot about a week and a half ago. All that beating Carolina and stretching Duke to the limit did was give them there confidence back. Last year, they went 9-7 in conference, beat Carolina in the ACC quarters, lost to Duke in the semis, and then made a run to the national championship. This year, they went 8-8 in conference, beat Carolina in the semis, and lost to Duke in the final. It's got to be feeling pretty familiar. Especially considering that the only starter they're missing from last year's squad is Marvin Lewis, and he really wasn't doing shit by the end of the year.

As for Louisville, I said in the other thread that after looking at it a little further, I would have actually given them the last three seed over Gonzaga, and Oklahoma, but the line's really thin, and they're pretty weak in that position.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I wouldn't be surprised if the committee put Georgia Tech and Louisville together on purpose. If they knew they were going to get criticism for seeding Louisville so low, what's the best way to deflect it? Just send in Georgia Tech who's got talent and experience that go way beyond their record to go in and knock them off.

1) Fuck Northern Iowa for getting in.

I'm not just saying that as a former UB student, but because the decision was purely based on politics.

2) Fuck Duke for getting a #1 seed.

I'm not a Duke hater. But, there is no way they deserved a #1 seed over Wake.

Wake - 26-5 overall record

Duke - 25-5

Wake - 13-3 conference record

Duke - 11-5

Wake's non-conference games: GW, @Arizona, @Illinois, Texas, @New Mexico, @Cincy

Duke's non-conference games: Michigan St and Oklahoma, at home.

The only thing Duke has the advantage in was winning the ACC tournament over the 11, 7 and 5 ranked teams. While Wake's top player was suspended.

Much bullshits.
