One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

I just got done reading this book, and I have to say, it is excellent. It's brilliantly written. On the surface, it shows what life in a mental institution is like, an overly organised routine, monotonous and ritualised. It goes deeper than that though, and IMO, was a shot at society as a whole. Ken Kesey uses the power of words to such a degree, you feel you are almost there on the ward of the institution yourself. It is phenominal. I recommend it to anyone who has never read it.

I also have the film, starring Jack Nicholson, upstairs, but I haven't got round to watching it yet, I wanted to finish off the book first. So I'm not sure how the movie compares, but I'm guessing it won't be too bad if it's got ol' Jack in it.

Has anyone else ever read it, or seen the film, and if so, what do you think of it?

Never read the book. The movie however is certinally one of my favorites.
