Slayer 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Guess it's up to me to get this started Only a half hour in and we're already looking at an upset as Wisconsin-Milwaukee is all over Alabama
SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 And it looks like Milwaukee is going to make me look really good. I had a feeling that may beat Alabamba. Though Pittsburgh is playing like a piece of dung right now, and it better stop soon. Eastern Kentucky is keeping it close, which is much better than I expected. And it looks like Niagara and Oklahoma in a shoot out.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I am hoping Milwaukee holds on as well, as they were one of the first round upsets I had on my bracket. I still can't believe I picked Pitt over Pacific though.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I think you can officially say that being a 5 seed in the NCAA has to be a living nightmare. Those damn 12 seeds are crafty. At the half scores: 12 UWM-- 45 5 Ala-- 32 15 EKU-- 32 2 UK--
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Ugh, I really hope Wisconsin-Milwaukee doesn't win.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I want Oakland to upset NC, but I think there is a better shot of Jesus Christ coming down to play point guard for Delaware State than of UNC losing to Oakland. And even with Jesus, Del State would have no shot against Duke. Damn, my state needs a better rep.
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Damn CBS and its stupid game decsions. I have two CBS channels, but I'm only getting Pitt/Cal. Pitt is playing horrible, and Pacific is buring threes.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Niagara is playing OU rather tight right now
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Maybe someone should tell Pittsburgh this isn't a double elimination tournament cause they are playing so damn lazy that it's not even funny. It's really sad to watch.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Beautiful...my Pacific to the Sweet 16 prediction remains alive.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I really hope Niagara somehow holds on against Oklahoma, it would make my "Utah to the Elite 8" prediction a bit more plausible. Besides, I like the MAAC.
SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Pittsburgh stunk it up in the first half. It was so damn pathetic to watch. Dear CBS Can we watch Niagara Vs. Oklahoma from now on, please?
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I REALLY hope Niagara wins. Damaramu, OU isn't gonna bitch slap ANYONE if they lose to Niagara.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I really hope Niagara somehow holds on against Oklahoma, it would make my "Utah to the Elite 8" prediction a bit more plausible. Besides, I like the MAAC. Who says Utah can't beat OU? That big man would probably give OU fits. And I can't watch the game b/c I'm at work. I just have to check updates on ESPN. We knew they were going to play us tight though. It was all that was talked about on the news around here was that Niagra was not a team to scoff at.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 That Niagara vs OU game will turn into a blowout in a hurry in the second half. Niagara is a team that just commits too many turnovers and OU isn't going to miss those open shots in the second half. I hope I'm wrong, I love upsets. Niagara is a team that just commits too many turnovers and OU isn't going to miss those open shots in the second half. I hope I'm wrong, I love upsets. Yeah but OU goes through long spurts where they can't score worth a damn. They'll go like 7 minutes without a FG. And if Niagra knows how to score well..... 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Least your team made the tournament. I've got my hat hung on Delaware State since Delaware, Florida State and Ohio State couldn't make the damn thing. ETA: I can always cheer on my gf's school of New Mexico, but they are an underdog as well....dammit.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Who says Utah can't beat OU? I think that Utah can definitely beat OU, but them beating Niagara is much more certain than them beating OU. I would at least want them to get to the Sweet 16 so my bracket doesn't look too screwed up. This is, of course, assuming they can get by UTEP.
Mik 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I'm hoping for UW-Milwaukee and Niagara wins here.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 It's funny that you all want to see Oklahoma/Niagara and can't. I'm stuck with that when I'd really rather watch Pitt/Pacific or at least Alabama/UW Milwaukee. I've got Pitt in the Sweet 16, and I really don't want them to go down already. If they pull together in the second half, they've got the talent to come back. I'm really not worried about Oklahoma at all even though I've got them as an Elite 8 team. Just watching the game, you can see the talent disparity. Niagara's been hitting a lot of shots to stay in the game, but I think the Sooners will pull away in the second half. As for Alabama and Milwaukee, I thought that game was a toss-up, but I picked up Bama due to tourney experience. Looks like that was probably a mistake,
Guest BDC Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I'm watching UK/EKU and the officiating is blowing my mind.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Alabama has charged back into the game, cutting the lead to just 5 in three minutes.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Wow Niagra keeps fouling OU. And OU really needs to defend these fools.
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I've got Niagra/OU now. The pace is just carazy right now, and nobody can make a shot.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I have Milwaukee/Alabama here. I love how when they were going through what was happening in the other games, they just skipped right over Pitt-Pacific. As an aside, I really like Cleveland St.'s logo. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Damn, none of these games are close now.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Man Niagra seems to be getting into foul trouble. And looking at this box score it looks like Niagra isn't playing too many players. Do they have much depth?
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Holy crap, EKU is only down by 6. Cmon EKU!
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I can't really tell how OU is playing from this box score? How do they look? It seems they aren't playing good and would probably lose to Utah or UTEP if they don't step it up.
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Dama, Niagra is just playing retarded. Their chucking up three after three, and they don't play D very well. Plus, OU is dominating them inside.
