Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Okay, of the 4 sites we saw today, which court looked the best? Im going with Indy. Simple court with red around it... worst? Boise with the blue bronco. i hate Arizona's if only for the fact it still reads ARIZONA on the court. I dont see why they used the DOME and left like 50,000 seats empty instead of using Conseco fieldhouse.

Guest Report post Posted March 18, 2005 I just have thought Arizona was overrated all year, and I thought that Utah State was one of the most dangerous mid-majors. They did beat Utah by 25 and then beat Pacific in the finals of the Big West Tourney. Also, the slow-down style they use is the same one that WSU used to beat the Wildcats in Tucson, and nearly pull off the sweep in Pullman. As far as Utah State having the legs to pull off the upset, well apparently I was wrong on that one. I wish I could have watched the game to see what happened, but since I didn't, I really can't say why they lost. Told you they would lose, and I was right. They were dominated in the 2nd half. Creighton had a 10 - 0 run, but it seems like the Moutaineers had a 21 - 7 Run and are up by 4. UAB and LSU are trading the lead TTech has a slight advantage over UCLA The surprise of the day is Fairleigh Dickison acutally within 4 of the Illini right now, and it looks to be a much better game than I thought it would be. Edit: Boise's Court fucking sucks! It looks like a Jet Set Radio character threw up on that shit. (And that court has never looked good, ever.)
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 If you haven't yet, you should read Bill Simmons weblog for the tournament today on Page 2 of ESPN. It's got tons of funny insights that are enough to keep you from paying attention to the basketball for a while, and he even mentioned that Batista and Bradshaw were playing in the Gonzaga/Winthrop game. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Today is a terrible day for basketball in Los Angeles. COME ON BRUINS
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 fuck LSU. I knew to pick UAB. Yet i figured i picked enough "upsets" with UW-MIL and New Mexico, Geo. Washington, and N. Iowa. The problem was I picked LSU over 'Zona to lose to OSU. at least UCLA looks to be coming back and whats wrong with you WVU? After today, Im really slapping myself for taking Utah to the elite eight, concerned about my putting Charlotte over Uconn in round 2, my pick of UW-Mil over BC in round 2. Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 maybe instead of going for the slam and letting another second tick off you would have not given them enough time...
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 My CBS station is fucking terrible! Creighton and WVU are tied with under 20 seconds, and I'm stuck watching a timeout of the UCLA/Texas Tech game. I've heard the commentators say let's go to Clark in the studio three times, but they haven't gone.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 however, the crei/wvu has been sick. again, fuck lsu and it's official, fuck ucla.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Make that four times. They're still not going. They've even got the UCLA/TT score on top with the other scores because they can't believe we're not watching the Creighton game. If it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't even know what's going on. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 It's not like I'm within 1000 miles of either of the school involved. There's just a lazy mother fucker at the switch. If I wanted to watch shitty basketball with no options to see other games, I'd watch the goddamn NIT.
teke184 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 LSU is slowly pulling themselves back into the game, but they may not finish it up within the last 4 minutes if they keep doing stupid shit like travelling.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Game of the Day? I'd say WVU/Creig and Utah/UTEP are those leading the GOTD charge.
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Damnit, fuck you LSU. I'll end up 14/16 for the day.
teke184 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 LSU's back within 10 and there's 1:22 left... Hopefully UAB keeps hitting jack-shit at the line.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Yeah, this LSU game puts me to 13/16 on the day. That doesn't sound too bad on it's own. but 2 of the 3 teams I had winning (Pitt and LSU) were also in my Sweet 16. I'm actually looking pretty shitty after Day 1. Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 12/16 I can never seem to do better than that on a single day every year. All my sweet sixteen teams still alive.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 12/16.(LSU,UCLA,Pitts,Tex) only one s16 team out(lsu). day two has 11/16 written all over it..im guessing i'll lose GT/Geo(pick was Geo), Michigan St/Old Dom.(Michst was pick), N.Iowa/Wisc(Iowa was pick), Char/NCSU(Char was pick), Nova/N. mexico(New mexico was pick). and the real upset will be LA-Layfayette over 'Ville.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 the real upset will be LA-Layfayette over 'Ville. Nah, Louisville's been facing jobbers all year long. They should feel right at home in a 4/13 game. When they face Georgia Tech however (and they will, that GW pick's terrible), it will be a completely different story. If it's any consolation, New Mexico's the best mid-major in the country. They're totally beating 'Nova tomorrow.
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 12/16. I got the Texas Tech/UCLA, Bama/WM, BC/Penn, and Cinn/Iowa wrong. I'll probably get the Cuse/VT game wrong since I picked VT to win like an idiot.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Another 12/16 here, wrong on LSU, Alabama, Texas and Pittsburgh. Not too bad i guess considering i don't follow College Basketball at all.

They should feel right at home in a 4/13 game. that was a sarcastic depreciative comment in response to my frustration of losing 4 games today and likely staring at another shitty day. 'Course 'Ville will win.
SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 14/16 for the day. One of my Sweet 16 (LSU) bit the dust...Fuckers. I am looking for GW to hit tomorrow. I want Geogria Tech to think GW is Virginia Tech or Miami. They'll probably get the shock of their year.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 14/16 for today, not bad for the 2 losses since I had Creighton and Pitt losing in the second round anyway.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Well, my Chicago bracket on Yahoo is shot to hell now. I took more chances on that instead of doing it on my pool one, which I didn't do too badly on. I had UTEP going to the Elite 8 on that one, though.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Yeah, the Chicago bracket was also the worst for me. I got Alabama, Penn and LSU as my incorrect picks for that bracket.
