Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Does the 'big game' mentality of players in the top seeded teams (or rather, lack of it in many cases) have an impact on how NBA teams will perceive these players and affect the position these players are drafted? therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Well Louisville is just ripping up on GT right now. If they beat Washington in the next round, they're probably going to the Final Four.

Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 And they pulled it out of their ass. Because at one point I really thought they were about to lose. But they came back. And, as the announcers said, this time, there is no one that can say it was beecause of calls in their favor.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Yeah motherfucker! Where's Iggy with his Ga Tech bullshit now? U of L put some bitchslapping on that ass tonight, and hopefully more to come next week with Washington and then hopefully Knight's boys. Now I have to pose the question: Why did people think Ga Tech was going to beat us? I think everyone (myself included) fell a little too much for Iggy's crap about GT, making me terrified of playing these guys when in reality they are merely a 20-12 team that got a couple of notable wins and not much else. Gee, I guess U of L has beaten someone decent now, huh?
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Bring on Louisville. The Huskies are waiting. Be prepared East-coasters. The Pac 10 will have half the Final Four in a weeks time.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I'll admit it. Louisville played a tremendous game. I only got to see the first half, with a little bit of that being switched over to Duke/MSU, but when I did see it, Louisville was playing perfect. They were hitting every shot they took from outside, playing solid D, and not turning the ball over. I think the thing with Georgia Tech this year is that I just kept waiting for them to turn into last year's team. I figured that with four starters back from a team that made it to the national championship, they'd eventually just "get good" again. However, BJ Elder's been playing clumsy ball ever since he came back from that injury, and they just never started hitting shots like they did last year. By the way, it wasn't just me that thought Georgia Tech would win, as they were actually a one point favorite in Vegas at tipoff time.
teke184 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Holy fuck... Didn't even look at the overall TSM Picks Group standings until now and found out I'm on top. This is mainly because I made a few questionable picks that paid off, like West Virginia over Wake Forest, Wisconsin over Kansas (actually, Bucknell), and NC State over UConn. I've lost some of my Elite 8 teams (Florida, Gonzaga, Syracuse) and one Final Four team (Florida) but, overall, I'm in good shape because most of the teams I picked to go far (Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville) seem to be doing fine. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Yeah, my brackets are in terrible shape right now, as I'm absolutely dead last in my money pool. However, since almost everyone picked Carolina to go all the way, I can actually still win it as long as Duke and Illinois meet in the championship.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I'm just happy that GT is not going to the Final Four and it can be put to rest. Now with that being said I think the door is wide open for UNC to do it. I just hope OSU makes it to the championship game. The biggest test for them will be the Elite 8 against Illinois. Because I'm sure they can beat Arizona. Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I'm sure that they won't beat Arizona. Really sure.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I'm sure that they won't beat Arizona. Really sure. No they are better than Arizona. Southern Illinois just played really good today. The defense OSU plays combined with the fact that they can get really hot on offense will confound Arizona. I think they can beat the Wildcats easily. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 And OSU has nobody that's any good? John Lucas, Jameson Curry, Joey Graham. If all three of them are on then they give other teams FITS. And the defense OSU plays can be crazy. I dunno if Stod has faced a team that will be so in his face. Also. Everyone thought Utah State could beat Zona but not OSU? The best freaking 2 seed in the tourney?

Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I said that Utah St. would get killed first off, secondly who does OSU have that can match up with Channing Frye because I didn't see it today, and third I believe that Arizona played Michigan earlier this year and their defense was much better than OSU's. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Down to 9 Sweet Sixteen teams, 6 Elite Eight and 3 Final Four Teams, my Albuquerque bracket is shot to utter shit and Syracuse isn't much better, but at least with Chicago & Austin i have 7 of the 8 Sweet Sixteen teams still alive. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I'm done in the TSM brackets. I'm tied for first in the money pool i'm in. 11/16 Sweet Sixteen teams, 5/8 Elite 8 teams, and 2/4 Final Four teams. Including Arizona who I picked to win the National Championship. Should of trusted my instincts, and picked Washington over Wake Forest like I did originally. I have more faith in a team with no track record, than a team with a proven track record of not coming through in the clutch.

When have you seen OSU play aside from this tournment. The entire team is dangerous! They don't have one marquee player b/c the whole fucking team can do it all. Hell Ivan McFarlane had 31 points today! OSU can run the court, they can shoot the three, they can penetrate on the inside, and they can give you headaches on defense. I think they will take Arizona. It may be close. But they will win. They have the ability and talent to go all the way. They are the best 2 seed in the tournament.
