WV is the only Big East team left right? The Big East will have no prescence after Louisville gets done with them.

Man so you have two of the power conferences losing there teams.

Oh and I was wrong about OSU winning. But everyone here seemed to think Arizona would dominate. Did I not say it would be close either way? I was right!

And I was right about the Big XII being the 3rd best conference.

Villanova is still in.

Nova's a good team. I like them.

But with OSU out I have to pick someone else to go all the way. Hmmmm.......I should probably go with Louisville since I almost went to school there and like that team.

And at least OSU didn't get blown out like everyone thought they would. 1 freaking point.

Stoudamire is a Basketball God

Quoted for emphasis. Well, I wouldn't say "god", but he's a good all-around player.

Oh hell Nova is playing UNC? Well the Big East will not make it to the Final Four.

Louisville will beat WV and UNC will beat Nova.

So we're going to have ACC, Big 10, and C-USA teams in the Final Four probably.

Better than the usual Big XII, ACC, Big East combination.

Now if only the ACC would somehow be completely eliminated from the Final Four then it'd be a whole new ball game and would kind of rule!

Ding dong, the Big XII's dead.

Why does everyone hate the Big XII so much?

Anyways it's not like it's a big deal. It's a football conference.

Funny thing is that everyone here at OU said "We lost to Utah? Hey isn't spring football starting? ALRIGHT! FOOTBALL!"

yet when OU lost to USC it was like

"OH GOD! MY LIFE IS OVER!"

"Hey guys look! The b-ball team is doing pretty good."

"NO! MY LIFE IS OVER!"

I guess it's like that at 90% of the universities in this country though.

Incidentally, do NOT count West Virginia out.

Yes I WILL.

Stoudemire has been talking shit about OSU and Daniel Bobik. Yeah he'd better keep his damn mouth shut. Bobik is a good player and he held Jameer Nelson who was the player of the year to like 4 of 16. Sure Stoudemire will drop some 3's but they're looking to take him and Frye completely out of the game and make the rest of Zona beat them.

Plus if Joey Graham has a great game then OSU may have it.

Oops.....

Salim is more clutch than J.J.

The Mountaineers only hope is for them to have a better game than they had against Wake at the 3 point line. The Cardinals are a better defensive team than people give them credit for as well, and I just dont see the game being that close... Louisville wins 85-69

Yeah right. "Everyone" thought they'd get blown out. Actually, they were a 2 1/2 point favorite, and they probably should have won the game.

If you really want to know who's going to win though, just take what I think, and go with the opposite. By that token, Arizona's going to beat Illinois, Kentucky's going to beat Duke, and then just because I have to get some easy ones right by accident, Louisville and Carolina will fill up the Final Four.

Then, since I had U of A going out in the first round, they'll probably beat Carolina for the championship. At this point, I'll just hope Duke wins tomorrow to string me along for one more day that I still have a chance of winning my pool.

Ok well this tournament just became Illinois and UNC's to win. With OSU out I think Illinois will happily bitch slap Arizona and roll to the Final Four where they'll probably happily bitch slap Louisville. Though I hope they don't. U of L in the title game would be awesome.

Wait, OSU is out, that means Illinois will kill Zona? Why is that?

Don't be a fuckin homer.

I'll be a fucking homer if I want to be. Kiss my ass.

OSU and Arizona are about on the same level. Play that game 10 times and each wins 5.

But OSU matched up better with Illinois than Arizona. Then again I don't think anybody really can match up with Illinois.

Steve Lavin has the most self depricating sense of humor ever: He completely ripped on himself in the College Gameday segment discussing his, Majerus and Digger Phelps's Sweet 16 memories. It was something to the effect of I sucked in the sweet 16 since we only went 1-4 and we had talented teams. Plus, there was always that booster who grew up with John Wooden that tried to get you fired. You had to see Lavin say this it was really funny.

Dama, I'll tell you this: Illinois would NOT bitchslap U of L. They might win against us but we'll give them hell. In fact I dare say U of L is a better team right now, Illinois having failed to impress me much during this tourney. I think the Chicago home advantage will get them past Zona by 5 or so, but they won't have as much of an advantage should they play U of L in St. Louis (where I'd say both team will have a huge amount of fans).

I've been taking note of WVU since the BE tourney win over BC. They are a very good team. Thing is, U of L is just on a roll right now and we ain't stopping for shit.

Yesterday I went 4 for 4 with Sweet 16 picks (Zona, Illinois, West Virginia, and Louisville).

So let's try this again...

Duke

NC State

Utah

VILLANOVA

I don't feel confident picking Nova or Utah, but I'll be really rooting for both teams, so fuck it.

GREAT games tonight.

Well I'm hoping they don't bitch slap U of L. Like I said before I have a special place in my heart for U of L and now with the Big XII out I'd like to see them go all the way.

I wish I had the confidence in MSU that some of you guys have in them. While I certainly think that this is a winable game tonight I just don't see it happening. Still, win or lose, MSU exceeded my expectations of them this year and I'll be happy with any outcome that isn't a blowout (unless of course, MSU blows out Duke).

I don't know if it's confidence in MSU so much as it is hatred for Duke.

Though I have been buying into the talk Jay Bilas had of "MSU's depth will be what beats Duke who has no depth."

The two things that give me hope for tonight's game are that

1. If Sheldon Williams gets in foul trouble there really is a huge drop-off in talent in his replacements.

2. The final score in the first game was 81-74 and Reddick and Ewing scored a combined 55 points.

The first one is a big if. The second point I highly doubt will happen again.

Over careful reflection of OSU I've come to a couple of conclusions.

First of all this was a good team but obviously not a great team. Last year they were one of the 4 best teams in the country. This year they were just one of the many that were trying to make it there.

And the loss of Tony Allen was obviously too much for them. It hurt a lot and it was apparent. Then again that's why he's starting in the NBA.
