Guest wootman Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Road Warrior Animal could be making a return to the WWE, but not as a wrestler. There is interest in the former WWE Tag Team Champion as a possible announcer. We have no other information at this time, but I wouldn't be suprised if we did see Animal on WWE TV soon, especially considering that the WWE is planning on putting out a special DVD looking at the career of the Road Warriors in the upcoming months. Credit: PWInsider.com Marty Jannetty and Jake "The Snake" Roberts might not be the only 80's wrestling stars to appear on WWE programming recently as John Masiulionis of the Monday Night Mayhem internet radio show is reporting that "Sensational" Sherri (Sherri Martel) could be making an appearance either this week or next week to further his angle with Kurt Angle. Sensational Sherri was Michael's manager from the start of his "Heartbreak Kid" persona from February 1992 through October 1992 when Marty made his first appearance on an episode of "WWF Superstars of Wrestling" since being thrown through a glass window in January of that year. Marty was out to get revenge on Shawn by trying to clock Michaels with the mirror Sherri always brought out, but Shawn pulled Sherri in front of her and Marty accidently clocked her, thus ending her tenure as Shawn's manager. Sherri currently works a few independent wrestling shows a year but is retired for the most part. source - gerweck.net
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I hope the Sherri thing is true. I'm sure she'd appreciate that kind of pay day.
Guest wootman Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I hope to see Sherri one more time too. She was a great manager and wrestler. She always gave 100%. I'd watch her manage Savage and she'd always be shrieking and screaming and doing all she can. WWE is in Alabama tonight and Tennessee tomorrow for Smackdown, which is where she lives now I might add, so this would have to happen this week.

4hartthreat 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I would LOVE for Sherri to make a comeback. I think she's the best female manager of all-time. And if they do the Shawn-Marty feud that I think everyone expects that they will, Sherri would be absolutely perfect for getting Marty over as a heel. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I can't think of any possible connection the Warlord has to anyone on RAW.
GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Sherri's awesome - put her in the Hall of Fame.
Guest jumpingbombangel Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Sherri alone could get me to watch an episode of Raw. God, I miss the days when wrestling's women weren't just women in wrestling. I'd rather see Sherri throwing hysterics and punches like a real woman oughta instead of this weekly lesbian girly bullshit they're throwing our way. I get enough gayness out of Randy Orton as it is. Sass 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Hawk was always the better speaker out of the Roadies. Animal and Bill Eadie united tour. Make it happen. Sherri, from some pics I saw at DVDVR not too long ago, looked haggard. Not obese or anything, but just haggard. She wasn't fat but she was thick. I'm sure she'll (hopefully) be in better shape if she comes back to the WWE. She's 47 now but she looked about 10 years older in the pics. Vince is really letting the nostalgia run free. Dandy 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I immediately thought of HHH hiring Warlord to try to take out Batista. Batista was a huge fan of Warlord before getting into the business.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I think the warlord thing was a joke. However; I wouldn't count out seeing Superfly Snuka and Bundy tonight. No way is Sid showing up, he'd get a austin sized pop. G.G is missing in Argentina but i'd love to see him get rko'd....Bossman is dead . Trips isn't going to remind people that he didnt win @ mania. TBS is on SD and would be senseless for now and same with A-Train who was too recently cut. Nash is also a no-no. Kane could get RKO'ed next week but he's in the main event tonight so cant have kane looking week before batistia thus making batistia in turn look week. The Martel thing sounds great and really fits with this program. however, unlike marty i wouldn't want this to be a full time gig.

Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Sherri was awesome as a female manager because she was the only one in her day to truly take Bumps... she gets tossed around like a pinball and get knocked into Savage or Savage knocked into her During the Wm7 match with Ultimate Warrior. Guest wootman Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Warlord from the WWF tag team "Power of Pain" is scheduled to appear on RAW tonight. [PWTorch.com] DAMN!! I thought he was being sarcastic. Wow, I'll be amazed if this happens.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 The Warlord will come out in his old Garb, and flash back... There is No wrestler, who can escape...my Full Nelson, and you...Chris Masters will be no Exception to that rule bwahahahaha
Guest wootman Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I saw a picture of him and he's still in great shape and has practically the body he did while he was wrestling.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Warlord is definately a Monster, and Had that Pizza truck not cream him in the early 90's he would have been a Legit Big Man Heel to conquer if he ever had a Title push. I saw semi recent pics of him getting back into wrestling with the Barbarian in the old POP garb, well somewhat. he does look as Solid as ever. As I always said, as long as you are physically capable to go, and you can hang then no one should stop you.
Some Guy 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Can Warlord even take an RKO? Is he even remotely a legend? Won't he look completely different 15 years later when he's not all gassed up? What's teh point?

What's teh point? Shall I dig up the before and after pics? mr. Cynical here is before at the height of his Singles run in the WWF. Here is he returning to Wrestling. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I saw him wrestle on some local Indy show that no longer runs once. Still same old Warlord... slow, plodding offense.

Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 22, 2005 He'll show up randomly for the Lumberjack match, and wrestle Kane or Batista (probably 'tist) next week.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Seriously, Warlord might have been a horrible wrestler, but he comes off as a tough old guy especially with the beard. If they made him a brawler and let him beat the absolute shit out of useless hosses like Masters with just stiff punches and kicks he'd be over. Actually, that would be the perfect feud. He wouldn't go all out, but just some intense ass whoopin' would go a long way. It would also be different to the traditional style used by like 80% of the roster, and that would get him over immediately. He could be the everyman barroom brawler that is built like a brick shithouse. Everybody would love the guy, trust me. He could be crazy, but a lovable kind of crazy. Obviously don't go all out, but this is wrestling, some stiffness should be allowed. He probably won't be in the WWF, but if he is, this would be the route they need to take.
