Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 25, 2005 If you want us to name wrestlers who had logical reason to be booked on a ppv show but yet werent...then FUCKING ass that in the first place. Dont mix no-selling and no showing and try to pass them off as the same damn thing. RVD not being used for WrestleMania XIX is the BIGGEST recent one in that sense. He was insanely over and was a champion and yet left on the pre-ppv match.

algrim 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Hogan- No showed Starrcade '99. From what I remember, he wasn't injured.
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Also even if they couldn't have appeared on the shows, shows it would have been cool they were on (in your opinion). Wrestlemania X LOD!
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 25, 2005 There's a difference in no-showing and not being booked. Was Hogan booked and just didnt show up because I dont even remember hogan being used @ that time frame anyways.
Some Guy 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 My question was vague it seems (or YES according to you), which does happen in life, so I am trying to make it specific so you get it. Do you get it now? Wrestlemania IV Flair, Starrcade 93 Bret Hart, etc. This is fantasy. OK, now tell me why you think they fit on a given card and what you would have had them do on that show. Where does Bret fit in on the Starcade 93 card? Taking Bossman's place against Rude? Taking Flair or Vader's spot? Tagging with Scorpio against the Nasty Boyz? A run in? If so in what match and why? Explain your fantasy. Fantasy booking benerally requires imagination and your's seems to be rather limited.

Guest Arnold_OldSchool Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen - Starcade 85 the NWA would've let them have a wild bloody brawl and could've added to a real solid card
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Vince McMahon vs. A Panda at Summerslam 2002 would've drawn better than the heatless HBK/HHH match.

Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Bret Hart vs Flair, Sid (fantasy if he could be there which he could not) vs Vader, that is what I would have liked. Yes he could have been there. WCW decided to cut him because of the Anderson incident. He wasn't under any employment at the time. now it's basically gone from what i thought was supposed to be a thread about workers no showing a ppv they were booked on(which is rather limited really) to now basically "dood what match u thik woulda been cool to hapen for no reason at all". If you want to do fantasy cards, go forth and do them. Dont set up the most ludacris questioning ever and miscomprehende the simple meanings of 2 basic terms. Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Yes, please step up and explain EVERYTHING of why you disagree with someone. Instead of mentioning something and calling someone a name. This is not a thread of just wrestlers who did not appear on a PPV they were booked on, I never said that.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Austin no showed KOTR '02, because he walked out. good example. Though he didnt no-show that particular show, he left in general. I think no-showing applies to being booked for that night and not showing up without prior notice.

Some Guy 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 I haven't changed the intent of this thread, I didn't explain it clearly because you didn't understand it. No, you didn't explain it clearly and as a result we didn't understand it. Bret Hart vs Flair, Sid (fantasy if he could be there which he could not) vs Vader, that is what I would have liked. OK, now why would you have liked it? You'd be trading one great match (Vader/Flair) for one great match (Flair/Bret) and one shitty match (Sid/Vader). If you want to see Vader wrestle Sid checked out Buried Alive 96, I'd bet you'll reconsider your choice after doing so. Flair and Bret have had several matches that can befound reasonably easily. Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 25, 2005 I would have rather seen Hart Vs Vader instead of Flair Vs Bret which we saw MANY times in 1992. While 1993 was was his prime. We saw Vader/Bret in 1996 but Vader had already slipped.

Guest BDC Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Here's why people are confused: you want to throw random folks on a show that they weren't supposed to be on or even contractually obligated NOT to be on, just because you think it'd be cool? Explain to me what's cool about having a random match with no buildup. There's NOTHING. I get that every week on my television for free instead of buying a ppv and having someone just show up for one match with absolutely no buildup. Rock/Hurricane had buildup and that made watching it worthwhile. Sid v Vader after Sid had been FIRED for NO DISCRENABLE REASON? Please, do us a favor and stop now. Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted March 25, 2005 I want to be noncontroversial to everyone including the dumb people (yes that is you BDC). You don't know if it is a one shot PPV deal or if they will be in a feud before the show. I am vague and unclear but I never stated one way or the other if it is a one shot PPV deal or if they will be in a feud before the show, YOU have.
