Of course, the Sopranos have gone how long between seasons, and no one's worried about that show "going the way of the dodo".

The Rick James thing was fucking hilarious until every meathead in America started cribbing every line from it. Then it became an annoying thing that jack-offs referenced rather than a funny skit.

Dave Attel is as funny as a rotting banana.
Then count me as someone that finds rotting bananas pretty funny.

Oh god, I got SO sick of hearing various Chappelle Show references at various indy wrestling shows all across TN.

That reminds me of something awesome I read a while ago at the DVDVR board...

Also, at the first ROH Chicago show, the Chappelle Show chants were in full effect. My side was yelling "WHAT?!?" while the other side would yell "YEAH?!?" Well, during the Joe/Stryker match, Joe turns to my section and goes, "Is Samoa Joe gonna have to choke a bitch?" We all about died.

Considering I have never watch an episode of the Sopranos in my life, asking if they would die is the last thing on my mind.

And to the guy with the bitches in his sig, I never liked the Rick James episode. Ever since it first came on I probably laughed 2 times in the whole episode. I just sat at my computer and typed and glanced at the TV from time to time cause its so unfunny and uninteresting to me. The Lil Jon shits have always been funny and so was Prince.

I didn't think Dave was that funny in the "Rick James" show. He had some memorable one-liners, but on the whole I thought the interplay with the actual Rick James and Charlie Murpohy was the best. The whole kick sequence of dialogue and "cocaine is a hell of a drug" were the funniest parts of the skits for me. Charlie Murphy said, "He was mad niggerish". Hell, anytime Rick James gave his side of the story it was gold.

See, I never did things just to do them, come on, i mean, what am i gonna do, just, just all of a sudden just jump up and grind my feet on somebody's couch? Like it's-like it's y'know, somethin' to do? Come on, I got a little more sense than that. Yeah, I remember grinding my feet on Eddie's couch.

I must be dreaming. Me, Rick James, telling a story about Charlie Murphy whooping my ass. What a bitch.

Back then, me and Eddie were the two darkest brothers. There was no Wesley Snipes.

I'm standing there I'm thinking, "This nigga really has lost his fucking mind." First of all, you don't slap a man. Ok. I mean, even when slapping was fashionable, ya know, they did it in Paris, some guy would come up, "I challenge you to a duel." They would have a gunfight after that, somebody had to go!

You mothafuckas take one more step, I'm kickin this nigga out the mothafunkin' window.
Don't you think Charlie's a little old to be taking karate. He probably taking it with the little kids.

I don't care much for the one-liners because they'rep layed, but that is the meat of the skit.

I'm liking a lot of the other skits lately, that I didn't really feel the first time around. Especially the "Black Bush" skit, if just for the random old black dud. It was so fucking over the top it was smart.

Really? You're missing out. My mom has been a huge Sopranos fan since it debuted and she finally got me to watch it on a regular basis and I got hugely into it.

and for some reason I LOL hardest at "Rick James" sining cold blooded after he decked Charlie.

and the prince skits were pretty great. "We'll call this the shirts against the blouses"

"You know damn well where you got that outfit and it sure as hell wasn't the men's section at Sears"

I just have to chime in to say that Dave Attell rules (I used to watch Insomniac regularly), Chappelle is one of the best comedians out there, and Chappelle's Show still hasn't lost much of its entertainment value despite the fact that I've seen every episode probably a dozen times or more due to Season 1 on DVD and tapes of Season 2.

I've always liked Attel's stand-up act, but Insomnia is incredibly uninteresting.

Back in the mid-90s HBO had this hippie "Young comics of the future" special and showed some REALLY godawful standup acts -- a while ago I saw a replay of it and one of the guys was Dave Attel ... with hair.

Is Insomnia still on?...
