Edge's Theme..

Recommended Posts

It worked for a face theme, not so much as a heel. Compared to the rest of the album, the song by itself is quite good, on the contrary.

Honestly, I don't get the dislike for Alterbridge. Every song I've heard from the album was really good. Beyond that, Metalingus is easily the best theme on Raw. Not only is it hard, catchy, and identifiable it also has lyrics that EXACTLY mirror Edge's deranged character.

It seriously sounds like the freaking song was just written for the character. References to changing their ways, avoiding fear of the moment, and the chorus mentions the chasing of a broken dream.

Seriously, listen to the song if you have it. The song friggin fits him like a glove.

The only part of the song that doesn't fit Edge is the line, "I'll never long for what might have been". Didn't he piss and moan for 6 months about being "screwed" out of the title shot at Taboo Tuesday? Oh well, its a great song from a very good band. I hope more wrestlers get entrance themes from actual bands instead of "Random Stock Sound File Number D".

I agree that it would, but he never used it as a face. He debuted the song at the November 1st Raw in Peoria, Illinois, which I attended live. It was the one where he plugged his book and basically sat out his and Benoit's tag title defense against La Res, which Benoit lost.

I like the song a lot as an entrance theme, but I don't know that it'd hold my interest for a full 3-4 minutes.
