Hmm, more of the usual non-story about DeLay. Well, he's obviously effective. As they say, you don't demonize inept politicians.

After all, you don't see the Republicans scrutinizing --- hell, ANY of the Dems nowadays.

*yawns*

Wake me when something relevant happens.

^^

Hope the GOP decision makers take this attitude.

They almost definitely do --- because, as usual, this is a whole lot of nothing.

Hey, it could be worse. DeLay could have sold pardons to the highest bidder.

BWA HA HA HA!

Zing.

I guess that's a stab at Clinton? Hell if I know--I am definitely not a Clinton fan, though.

Nah, just a reminder of what Democrats support.

Yeah, and Republicans support states rights, and small gov't, until it starts losing their masters money. Then they're all up someone's ass.

Their "masters" money?

I'm sorry, I forgot that the Dems don't have massive contributors.

So, care to reveal the percentage of large donations for, say, the Gore and Bush recount efforts in 2000?

I don't agree. This formula would make Bill Clinton the most effective politician of our modern times.

Nah. He'd be a distant second to George Bush.

hahaha. Dude, Clinton was the reason for the media machine we have now. If Rush didn't have Clinton to beat on, he wouldn't be where he is now.

Bush, on the other hand, is nowhere near as attractive target. Look at the "success" *cough* of Air America.

Delay is a moron with too much power. That's dangerous and the Congressional Republicans should do themselves a favor and send that useless ass clown packing. They, justifiably, demoted Trent Lott for far less.

"This is not the corrupt Republican leader you are looking for"

It's not unusual for a Congressman to be accused of accepting a trip to South Korea from foreign agents, run a PAC accused to paying large amounts of money to family members, and take a trip supposedly paid for by Russian lobbyists.

And if you think otherwise, remember.. lookoverthere!it'sdemocratsandtheyarebadpeople!!!!

is it unusual to be admonished multiple times by the ethics committee?

and we can all be sure that since this is all just a bunch of lies, that Tom DeLay will now be suing the New York Times and Washington Post for libel.

I'm not going to question Mike's ideas on ethics in Government. Since Watergate was just a mere third-rate burglary and not much more than that.

But yeah. How many more scandals will DeLay make it though before he goes from being "The Exterminator" to "The Cockroach"?

It's funny you guys are so focused on Delay when a certain House minority leader is guilty of the exact same thing and has been very critical of Delay. Ah the fun of politics.

Politicians pointing out the flaws of other Politicians is like serial killers pointing out other serial killers for stealing pudding.

They are all the same, they just like to pretend that other guy is worse.

Hearing that corruption might exist in Washington, DC, for either party just means that it's a day that ends in Y.

I didn't even know about Pelosi. I think she should be punished accordingly, though.

Delay seems to have many more violations and actually changed the rules to get off the hook.

I'm not sticking up for Delay. I just found it funny that she's been one of his loudest critics over the whole thing.

More like "until someone starts telling dirty jokes on radio or showing extra skin on TV"

So, doing what Pelosi did is the same as what DeLay did with his PAC?

Basically, Tom DeLay is cleansed of his sins, due to the sins of others?

And Tom DeLay worked in the field of 'killing pests' (exterminator) before he went into politics.

And Bush is behind the internet blog explosion. Your point?

If Rush didn't have Clinton to beat on, he wouldn't be where he is now.

Yet he became national before Clinton took office. Odd.

Look at dailykos, who has lived and died with slandering him.

As I said, you only bitch about effective politicians, not useless ones.

No one's saying that. No one's absolved. Some of us, though, are amused by the usual hypocrisy of a politician pointing fingers at another for doing shit that they probably have done themselves.

The internet blog explosion is not powered by politics. It simply came about due to how it is, due to a result of software being fairly easy to use and not very demanding on a site host. It also doesn't require any sponsorships or media network cooperation, like the radio shows do.

The only political ramifications is that thanks to that popularity, windbags who formerly didn't know HTML well enough to run a web site where constrained to arguing with the other dingbats on messageboards. Hmm....

Yet he became national before Clinton took office. Odd.

He was national, but even Michael Reagan is national. He didn't become #1 until Clinton.

Look at dailykos, who has lived and died with slandering him.

Dailykos has the kind of national name recognition that Rush has since when? Or even Matt Drudge?

Yes, it has NOTHING to do with politics. Nothing whatsoever.

And the USSR would have collapsed WITHOUT Reagan pressing them. Yes sir.

Yet he became national before Clinton took office. Odd.

BWA HA HA HA!

That you really believe that is adorable.

I guess his NY Times #1 Bestseller that was released before Clinton took office was just an illusion.

When you consider that pathetic minority opinion that liberalism is --- yes.
