It seemed really strange at first, but I've actually gotten to really like this board's policy on new members.

 

Don't try to get new people, just try to make the discussion as good as possible; and if someone's making the discussion worse, just kick them off the site.

 

I'm guessing that the mods here would agree with me that the "Get Out the Vote" campaigns are the worst idea ever, and that if anything, we should bring back a form of the "literacy test" to make sure that people can't vote if they don't know what the hell they're talking about.
