cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 For those who are interested, I finished typing up the transcript of the interview I conducted Sunday with Brutus Beefcake. Some interesting stuff in there. What happened to his Summer Slam 88 IC title shot, the Mariner character, etc. Here's a link - http://www.angelfire.com/wrestling/cawthon...keinterview.htm
Slickster 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 Out of curioisty, how did you set this interview up? EDIT: Graham, this is a nitpick, but the 3/9/05 SmackDown! taping was at Reliant Arena, not Reliant Stadium. They're 2 buildings in the same complex, but Reliant Stadium is the 60,000-seat home of the Houston Texans football team.

Beefcake is appearing at the Valiant Brothers Reunion in May and I know the co-promoter / publicist, Evan Ginzburg. He puts out the Wrestling Then & Now newsletter as well. Thanks for the info. Guest Sturgis Report post Posted April 14, 2005 Unquestionably, the most historic segment of the Barber Shop was the one in which Shawn Michaels threw Marty Jannetty through the plate glass window. What are your memories of that night and the preparation that went into it? There was no writers, no scripts. Brutus Beefcake, I was a professional, good at what I did. They handed me the ball and I ran with it. We just did what we always did, the way I broke into the business, the way I learned. And we just went right off the cuff, right off the top of our heads. We knew what we were doing, we were pros, and we just went out there and did it. We didn't have anyone hand us a 10-page script to memorize. It was just Brutus Beefcake interacting with the rest of the guys and it was magic. You didn't have to plan this shit for weeks and months ahead of time, we just did went out there and did it. And it always worked, and that's the amazing thing. Will somebody kindly translate this into an answer to the question?
