Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 23, 2005 What's up with Merrill Hodge and Mike Williams? Hodge didn't sound like an analyst that believes he sees a problem with his game, he sounded like a guy with a personal vendetta. Could he just be pissy about Mike Williams challenging the rules of the NFL?
teke184 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2005 Question of the day- When will Aaron Rogers get drafted? I'm guessing that the Packers take him at #24 because Brett Farve's getting close to the end of his career.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 23, 2005 I know I've said it before, but let me just reiterate it makes no sense for Green Bay to take another QB.. Who they'll have to waste an already tight salary cap on a #4 QB on the depth chart? Doesn't make any sense. If they take a QB in this draft, it'd be in the later rounds... Charlie Frye or McPherson, but the first 3 picks have to be defense.

Why waste money on a pick?
teke184 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2005 Looking at the remaining teams in the first round, it'll have to be the Packers or Raiders unless someone trades up to get one of the remaining first-rounders. I mean, look at these teams... The Seahawks have Hasselbeck, the Redskins have a lot of young QBs, the Falcons have Vick, the Chargers have Rivers and Brees, the Colts have Manning, the Steelers have Roethlisberger, the Eagles have McNabb, and the Patriots have Brady. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2005 Green Bay deserves to finish dead last after making a god damn stupid pick like that. You need DEFENSE and you take the one position you DON'T NEED! They have THREE QUARTERBACKS who could take over for Farve. You have QBs next year who could take over for Farve.

lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2005 who exactly is going to take over for Brett Farve....you guys act like they have the next Steve Young waiting in the wings
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 23, 2005 OK, well calming down about it.. It's nice to take a QB they can string along and develop, with no surefire draft prospects at any position on defense. My concern is what quality is there going to be available at #51 and #58, their next two picks? Chances of Rodgers falling that far down were slim anyways, and they decided to take an enormous risk. I guess they're willing to trade away the present for the future, or that maybe they're thinking of sending Favre away with a losing record. who exactly is going to take over for Brett Farve....you guys act like they have the next Steve Young waiting in the wings They have Craig Nall, who has been playing in their system and learning under Favre since 2002. When he stepped in last year in a few games, the offense didn't skip a beat, going 23 of 33 (69.7% completion percentage) for 314 yards and 4 TD's. They have J.T. O'Sullivan who they valued high enough to trade their best defensive back for last year, to the Saints, and who they JUST re-signed this past week. Aaron Rodgers is going to open up probably as the #3 or #4 QB on the list, and god knows how they're going to try to work the salary cap with a first-round QB demanding first-round money. I mean, I thought Rodgers was the best QB in this draft too, but I just didn't think it made any sense. Even if Favre retires after this year, they're still left with an awful defense and no salary cap room.
