Anyone here ever tried a diet?

Recommended Posts

Water > Diet Coke.

Isn't there a study that revealed drinking Diet Coke regularly (as in, hey, I'll drink Diet Coke instead of Coke, Pepsi, sweetened Iced Tea, etc.) can lead to bone disease and/or cancer due to its artificial sweetener?

No, they basically dumped huge amounts of nutrisweet and fed it to rats (apparently enough that if any human consumed that much, cancer would be the worst of their problems) and it caused cancer in the rats, and a false outrage occured. It's perfectly safe to eat/drink in the portions that we regularly use...

Wasn't there a study that showed that living leads to dying?

I cut out all caffeine, since it's a diaretic. And since most stuff with caffeine is empty calories.

Well then I went to lunch and got a salad from Sonic. Well they didn't give me my ranch the bastards. So I ran to the Student Union to buy ranch from the fast food place in there. That's about 300 yards away so I ran all the way over there.

I then turned around and ran back.

Shouldn't you be cutting salad dressing out completely?

Is there a siginificant difference between Stacker 2 and 3? I took Stacker 3 for a week in the Summer of 2001. I shed 10 pounds that week, but my friends and family said I acted like a complete ass while I was on the pills.

You ever eaten a salad with no dressing? I'm sorry I can't do it. Tastes like well nothing......and I don't like the texture of the lettuce. But the dressing makes it better. Maybe fat free ranch instead?

Oil and vinegar would probably work best. Anything that's not egg-based.

I just squeeze a lemon slice on my salad.

Oil based dressings are always less fattening then creamy. Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinigar works the best. If you must have creamy try a light or fat free dressing. If you look at the nutrition facts at Mcdonalds, the salads have more calories then a cheeseburger because of the dressing...

Not much of a diet guy, but on light salad dressings: oil and vinegar is good, but my favorite is just a few splashes of white vinegar with minced-up garlic and basil. Never underestimate the spice rack as a way to rather harmlessly kick up a salad or a chicken cutlet.

If you have access to a gas grill, a diet is ridiculously easy, because once you start grilling chicken cutlets with light italian dressing and asparagus rubbed down in garlic, you're gonna be a happy man.

anyone knows how many calories aprox. are there in a BBQ Ribs plate at a place like Tony Roma's or TGI Friday's?

i'm asking because i'm on a diet right now, watching how many calories i eat each day and a friend of mine is going away for a few months so tommorrow they(my friends) all want to go eat bbq ribs for lunch as a goodbye meeting of sorts. So i don't want to eat like 2000 calories or something in just one meal, so i wanna know if i can get out of the diet for this one meal or it's better to eat something else.

One cheat meal ain't gonna kill you, dude. Go for it.

If you're really worried about it, just make sure you drink water and eat smaller, healthy meals the rest of the day.
