Undertaker's heel turn in late 2001 shocked the hell out of me. I couldn't believe it, had no idea it was coming. From the beginning I thought it was a terrible idea. Proved right- he was still one of the most over in the company

Until Judgment Day 2002, when WWE decided to change his theme music. The result? The crowd, for the first time in as many years as I can remember, was completely dead for his entrance.

I remember that theme he had at Judgement Day didn't have him saying "Deadman Walking" before it started, and thus there was silence. But at least his heel turn inducted JR into the Vince McMahon "Kiss my ass club". Yah....it was doomed from the start.

I would second hogan and bulldog pretty shocking. scott steiners turn in 98 was shocking, though there were pretty obvious hints for months, but to a mark wow.

Owen turn in 94 shocked me, cuz I thought they had made up.

Was Rude ever really a face?

I was diappointed at WCW's decision to turn Goldberg heel. This was a guy that lived and breathed charity work, and working with kids, and they thought it would be a good idea to turn the guy heel.

Is that a kayfabed comment?

Not intentionally. I had always read from various sources that Goldberg loved working with kids and chrities, and I figured after he punched-out Hacksaw's cancerous kidneys, kids would be scared to death of him.

Umm, logically, he mauls guys for money. Hard to describe him as a good role model for kids.
