Guest Mosaicv2 Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 PAUL HEYMAN PAUL HEYMAN PAUL HEYMAN!!!: "I'm going change the whole professional-wrestling existence!!" um, k.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 PAUL HEYMAN PAUL HEYMAN PAUL HEYMAN!!!: "I'm going change the whole professional-wrestling existence!!" um, k. Considering the whole WWF Attitude Era was an admitted copy of ECW's style, I'd say he accomplished his goal.
Guest news_gimmick Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 I'm gonna throw "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorf into the mix. I've heard him give interviews over the last few years and he seems really markish over himself.
MillenniumMan831 Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 I would venture to say that Paul Orndorff is the most overrated performer of all time.
Guest JMA Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 You could make a long list of wrestlers that are marks for themselves. I suppose that I'll just name the big offenders: The ENTIRE Clique Ric Flair Vince McMahon Stephanie McMahon The Ultimate Warrior Buff Bagwell Bill Goldberg Sid Vicious
The Czech Republic Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 PAUL HEYMAN PAUL HEYMAN PAUL HEYMAN!!!: "I'm going change the whole professional-wrestling existence!!" um, k. Yes. And clearly, he did. I don't see what's so bad about being a mark for yourself, really. If you don't believe your own hype, you won't make it. This goes for wrestling, and elsewhere. You don't get to the top by selling yourself short.
nl5xsk1 Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 We should make a list of which posters on TSM are the biggest marks for themselves ... or would the list be too long?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 We should make a list of which posters on TSM are the biggest marks for themselves ... or would the list be too long? Just C&P the list of registered users and you've got the list.
Guest JerichosHi-Lite Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Oh, I forgot to add Honky Tonk Man, who apparently believes he actually is the greatest Intercontinental champion of all-time ... Paul Heyman saying he's going to change the face of pro wrestling isn't being a mark for himself- it's just being ambitious. And to be honest, he did a pretty good job of it, too.
