They killed the Giggler!

Recommended Posts

I'm seeing this movie again and it's a mix of hilarity and lots of death.

As long as you ignore the 30 year age difference between Bronson and the woman, and the fact that he left her alone in his car in the middle of the night. It's enjoyable.

Bronson is helpful as he helps his neighbors construct ways to knock out criminals.

The Giggler scene is one where this guy called the Giggler steals stuff, runs off and giggles. Bronson lured him in by having a camera on his shoulder. Giggler steals it, and Bronson shoots him dead with a giant gun.

Basically the giant guns and all the other weaponry (like the rocket launcher) help make the movie slightly more absurd.

Or as one IMDB reviewer said

Death Wish 3: Unintentionally the Funniest Movie Ever?,

I think it definitely is. The writing is of such a quality that beginner students of the English language should model their conversations after its dialogue. For example, the exchange between Paul Kersey(Bronson) and Ms. Kathryn Davis(Deborah Raffin) (more about this character later) is extremely clear and to the point: Ms. Davis says, "I hope you like chicken. It's the only thing I know how to make," to which Kersey deftly responds, "Chicken's good. I like chicken." If that's not English Grammar 101, I don't know what is.

Plus, Alex Winter (Bill S. Preston) plays one of the street thugs.

Oh yeah, the machine gun too.

That's all I have to say about Death Wish 3, it's on AMC right now

No lines can be more absurd than the guy getting killed by Jason in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Rob: Run! Run! Run! Oh, God! He’s killing me! He’s killing me! Run, Trish, Run! Aah! Trish Run! He’s killing me!

I mean COME ON! You just KNOW Erich Anderson pissed off someone to be forced to say that line.

As for Death Wish, Charles Bronson is a god. There is nothing else that needs to be said. Any Bronson movie is good for me.

Damn, I just missed it. For anyone else who also missed it, they're playing it again at 1:45pm Eastern Time Zone, also on AMC. I'll see it then.

Don't be hating Bronson and the Death Wish movies -- well, maybe Death Wish 4.

And those rape scenes throughout the franchise get me hot.

My favorite part of DWIII is the end where there's been a riot going on for god knows how long and the cops don't show up until the very end.

Personally, there's another Bronson movie about his daughter getting stalked by some psycho that I find much more LOL-able, especially the great nighttime chase at the end with nobody else on the road but Bronson, his kid and the psycho. (People that have seen this movie know what I'm talking about...)

No reason to sweat missing one of the Death Wish movies on AMC. They seem to be on at least a few times a month lately.

Ahhh, yes, 10 to Midnight. Such an underrated movie. I haven't seen that in YEARS.

They killed the Giggler

They had no business doing that. ;)

Seriously I just watched this movie on DVD last night and it's just as good as I remember. It's probably the best movie of all time.

I just love the part with the Machine gun where they keep doing the close up of bronson and he has that old man skin jiggle going on in his face. Its just plain funny.

And yeah, that dude had one fucked up life. His wife, daughter, HAWT housekeeper, his new wife...all dead. Eventually he would be a suspect.

Jeez, another Pittsburgh poster -- if we all ever united we'd take over this place.

And it is 10 'till Midnight (name clicked in my head when mentioned). I think I've only seen the entire movie in one sitting once. All the other times I catch the last 15 minutes, which is all you really need.

No he wouldn't -- he's white after all. He'd just say to the cops "it was some puerto rican guy."

Oh, another few scenes from the DW series that I love -- these come from II.

* When he shoots that guy with the cross necklace: "You believe in Jesus?" "Yeah." "Well, you're going to meet him." BANG! I marked out at that as a kid.

* It's been a while since I've seen this but I believe during a shoot out some black guy tries to escape by shielding himself with a ghetto blaster and Bronson shoots the portable boombox and kills him...
