Wrestlemania VI Donald Trump?

Recommended Posts

Guest fanofcoils

Donald Trump appeared at Wrestlemania IV, V, and VII (and XX as well), and I thought he no showed Wrestlemania VI and I was watching Wrestlemania XI and before it began they showed clips of past Wrestlemanias and they showed a clip of Wrestlemania VI and Trump being interviewed in the crowd, I couldn't tell if he was really in the Skydome, it may be an error, or Wrestlemania VI Donald Trump might have happened. I never saw the Coliseum version of Wrestlemania VI, does anyone know if Trump was interviewed in it?

He was interviewed at Wrestlemania VII, and hoped that one day WWF will return to Trump Plaza for another Wrestlemania. I have never seen or heard of him ever being at Wrestlemania VI.

Edit: Wait... you mean "No show" or "No sold"?

Someone probably noticed the atmosphere was horrible and the crowds were pretty shitty both years.

Yeah, I've read interviews from a lot of guys that worked WM IV and V, and even from Hogan himself, and they all said the place was a dump, and the crowd was mostly comprised of high rollers from the casino and not actual arestling fans. I'm pretty WWE returned to that arena though for a Smackdown taping a year or two ago though.

That didn't stop them from going to Anaheim/LA four times.

I've never understood that, either. Not a knock on fans from LA, but they are probably the most boring crowd in wrestling history. At least Los Angeles has the big city appeal, but Trump Plaza HOTEL? It's basically the best version of a bingo hall.

Anytime Trump's name is mentioned with any WM, I can't help but think about Hogan's promo about having the Donald on his back after a tidal wave.

Awesome? Like 20 wrestlers tripped on those stairs at Wrestlemania IV and V Combined. I'm surprised Warrior (who ran full speed) didn't.

Warrior ran slower and more controlled if I remember correctly.

But I was still surprised that he didn't fall. That would have been hilarious.

It wouldn't really hurt him, though. To suffer brain damage you need to have a brain to begin with.

Eh... I would've rather had a ramp or something, but at least it had it's own style.

I would say that if Wrestlemania went there again now that it would have alot more wrestling fans as WerstleMania is bigger these days then it ever was back then.

I did find it pretty funny that the two of the top technical wrestlers at WMV, Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect both stumbled on that step while guys like The Rockers, Blue Blazer, & Ultimate Warrior had no trouble at all flying down the ramp.

I guess Wrestlemania VI Trump is preparation for the opening of the Taj Mahal (which opened on April 2, 1990) Trump.

It's a good thing Trump no sold Julius Ceasar at WrestleMania IX.

I wonder what Hollywood thought of Trump for no selling Wrestlemania 21.
