Guest COMMISSIONERHBK9 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 Since I am about to purchase the gamecube, I was wondering is it ok to have lets say the gamecube on top of the xbox or ps2 or vice versa? I heard a long time ago that it will damage both systems. Is that still true now?
Jingus 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 The Gamecube is so tiny and light that I doubt it'd make a real difference. In theory it could over time weigh down on the machine under it and warp the structure a bit, but I don't think there's any real danger.
Renegade 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 Never put anything on top of the ps2, the hardware is fragile enough as it is.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted May 9, 2005 I don't think a Gamecube would sit on top of an X-Box very well.
David Blazenwing 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2005 I kept my Ps2 on my Xbox and my Cube on my PS2 (looked like a gaming pyramid) for nearly a straight year and still don't have problems with any of my systems (except the "disc read error" of the Ps2 once in a while, though cleaning off the lens will fix that right up). I did finally move all the systems to their own cubbys in an entertainment center a short time ago (the center I was waiting for while the game pyramid stood... lol)

Actually, according to X-Play, a Game Cube is more durable than an X-Box is. Morgan SMASH! To be fair though, they only tested to make sure the system turned on. That Cube likely wouldn't have played any games.
