Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 15, 2005 Winky Wright beat Felix Trinidad last night in Wright's first fight at middleweight. Pretty impressive stuff, as Wright (8 to 5 underdog) now hasn't lost in five years. I like this guy. He's a confusing southpaw with no real standout strength or weakness. No wonder he gets ducked quite a bit. Winning a convincing decision over Trinidad gives him some pound for pound best credit, right now.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2005 Either Bernard Hopkins or a rematch with Trinidad, probably.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2005 Does Wright have to move up in weight again to get a big PPV payday? He'd have to stay at middleweight to fight Hopkins or Trinidad, if that's what you mean.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 16, 2005 Either Bernard Hopkins or a rematch with Trinidad, probably. He'll lose to Hopkins. That guy's going to walk on water all the way to retirement.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 Well, the rematch with Trinidad is out of the question.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 Many experts picked Winky to win this fight.....I'm a big Tito fan and I was very nervous about this fight. Winky is a tremendous boxer and would give Hopkins trouble.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 Didn't look like an upset to me. Winky gave Tito a friggin boxing lesson. Hopkins says the fight with Taylor will be his last, but let's wait and see. Should he win and depending on how he looks in the ring, maybe he'll go against Winky (Who is now the mandatory challenger) for one final fight.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Tito has a rematch clause...but seems to be choosing retirement though. Again. Winky still wont be able to sell a ppv on his name alone but there are a couple options...most likely he will defend his title on HBO and then fight the winner of Bernard Hopkins-Jermain Taylor. Winky-BHop could be the the Executioner's final fight.
