Recent Pics of Former Ring Announcer Mike McGuirk!

You may remember that female blonde ring announcer on WWF Challenge from the late 80's/early 90's. Her name is Mike McGuirk. She was like the original Lilian Garcia. I must admit that I kinda dug her and she's most definately one of my favorite retro babes. I mark for when the camera would give her a closeup as it's rare. I didn't like that she always wore a tuxedo. I wish she wore dresses like Miss Elizabeth. She's also a tremendous ring announcer with a strong voice. I've never heard her make a mistake when announcing. EVER! Apparently, she's the daughter of an old promoter who I'm quite certain that Jim Ross is familiar with, so that's probably how she got into the business.

 

And another pet peeve of mine about her besides the tuxedos, HER NAME IS MIKE!! I believe the legend is that her dad was so stubborn that he did not have a boy because he wanted a baby boy that he named her Mike anyways even though she was a girl.

 

 

Anyways, I just visited Sherri Martel's official site, looked at some photos and to my amazement, there were two pics of Sherri with Mike McGuirk. So she DIDN'T fall of the face of the earth. For the longest time, I've always wondered about her and what happened to her. She's such a mystery.

Hmmmm, Mike still looks pretty damn good these days. She's aged gracefully. MILF-quality now. I think she'd be about 50 years old now or close too it. She's taken good care of herself. Good job Mike.

 

As for Sherri, eeeeek on the first pic. She looked really good on Smackdown a few weeks back. Sherri seems to be the type that needs professional makeup artists too look good otherwise she's not too appealing. Oh well, I'd still hit it.

 

Anyways, Mike McGuirk is still alive and seems to be doing well for those of whom who'd like to know.

Mike is a much better announcer than Liillian. Lillian sucks announcing and singing (she butchered america the beautiful at Mania IMO) . Plus she kinda looks like a man to me.

I think Duggan looks fine for his age in that pic (he's probably, what? In his late 40's or early 50's?)...don't know why everyone is picking on the guy so much. It's not like he was ever a really handsome guy to begin with.

She is. Her father was the late Leroy McGuirk, a former NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion. He quit wrestling when he lost his sight, and became a respected promoter. He's in the WON Hall of Fame.

Associated Press style dictates that in situations where a singular ends in an S (such as Big Vis), you do NOT add another S after the apostrophe. Hence, going by AP style, the way it was originally presented (sans extra S) is correct.
