In WWF's defence, they only knew that Austin wouldn't be at SurSer about a week or so before. Sure, they could have done more once they did know he wouldn't be able to wrestle, but for most of the build up, everyone thought he would be there.

I wonder, then, what was the plan if Austin had been fit to go? Would Trips have went over(cancelling TBS's short reign) or would Austin have went over, perhaps to build to a WM2000 match with Rocky?

If Austin had been fit, the plan was for Hunter to pin Rock after Austin would accidentally hit Rock, to play off of the No Mercy match the month before, where Rock accidentally hit Austin which lead to Hunter pinning him. Hunter would have wound up dropping the WWF Title back to Austin at the Rumble, and Austin would have then dropped it to Rock at WM XVI.

Hunter's had a long time MO of burying people to Vince that he sees as threats to his spot as the top guy in the company, and Cena is showing signs of being a legit threat to his spot, so if this report isn't true now, it soon will be.

It had better work Rudo, or you're fired!

I'm done it.

I'll post it after some editing and after I get some feedback from someone I am currently running it by.

Right now, though, I'd say The WWE wouldn't hire me, simply because it makes them look like goofs in how they write for wrestling.

But then again, the writing in Zora the Explorer makes them look like goofs.

I thought the WWF were planning an Austin/Big Show main event for Wrestlemania 2000 or had that idea been scrapped?

That was scrapped pretty much straight away. I beleive the plan was for there to be bad blood between them for a whole year leading up to WM2000 and then for them to finally meet for the first time in the main event.

In the end they had a match the day after Show's debut at St Valentine's Day Massascre, or at least very soon after, so that plan obviously didn't last for very long.

I thought they used that match as a dry run for a future Austin/Big Show match so it may have been scrapped after that.

Random: Why does HHH have to have a yearly HIAC at the EXACT same time?

May 2002: Beats Jericho.

June 2003: Beats Nash.

June 2004: Beats HBK.

June 2005: vs. Batista.

Gawd.

Because HHH likes to ruin our summer every year.

Because he needs gimmicks to cover up his shortcomings.

I'm sure Steph would say the same.
