He entered WWE as an evil clown before later changing his ways and becoming a fan favorite. In this match, Doink faced a Superstar that most fans came to know later on in his career as X-Pac. You won't want to miss this match between Doink and the Kamikaze Kid. Sting & The Warrior vs. Hollywood Hogan & Bret Hart WCW Monday Nitro -- October 12th, 1998 It's not every day that four Superstars that are of the caliber of Sting, Warrior, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart are in the same ring together. As usual with Hollywood Hogan, several nWo members also made an appearance in this match. Now you can re-live history and watch this classic tag team encounter from an edition of Nitro. Jimmy Snuka vs. Jeff Jarrett WCW Monday Nitro -- January 10th, 2000 On this edition of Nitro, WCW Commissioner Terry Funk ordered that WCW United States Champion Jeff Jarrett would take part in a "Triple Threat Theatre" against three of his close friends. In Jarrett's last match of the night he faced "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka in a Steel Cage Match with Chris Benoit as the referee. Snuka hadn't been seen or heard from in quite some time, but would he be able to recapture his high-flying magic? Hulk Hogan & The Junkyard Dog vs. The Funk Brothers March 8th, 1986 The immortal one, Hulk Hogan, teamed up with fellow WWE Hall of Famer, the late, great Junkyard Dog for this exciting tag team encounter with the Funk Brothers. Terry and Hoss Funk were one of the toughest, roughest tag teams to ever step foot in a WWE ring. Would the dastardly Texans be able to defeat the then-future Hall of Famers? Bruiser Brody vs. Ivan Putski January 17th, 1977 Take a trip down memory lane in this WWE classic when Bruiser Brody took on WWE Hall of Famer Ivan Putski. Putski may have been one of the strongest men to ever step through the ropes, but would he be able to defeat one of the greatest brawlers of all time? Rhino vs. Super Crazy ECW on TNN -- September 10th, 1999 The Manbeast, Rhino, collided with Super Crazy in an interesting clash of styles in this classic ECW match. Rhino would later go on to become the last ECW and TV Champion in the company's history, but even here he showed flashes of brilliance that would later earn him gold. But would the high-flying Super Crazy be able to somehow overcome Rhino's strength and violent attitude? Hollywood Hogan vs. The Warrior WCW Halloween Havoc 1998 -- October 25th, 1998 Hollywood Hogan squared off with The Warrior for the first time at WrestleMania VI in 1990. This was one of the most-anticipated rematches in sports-entertainment history. The Warrior showed up in WCW, haunting Hogan, as The Warrior was one of the only people that Hogan had never defeated. The two met up for a second showdown at Halloween Havoc. Could Hogan be able to overcome the mysterious Warrior or would the Warrior make it a perfect 2-0 against Hogan? Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker WWE SummerSlam 1997 -- August 3rd, 1997 Bret Hart and Undertaker had met up in the past, but this SummerSlam encounter has some interesting stipulations added. If Hart lost the match the he would no longer be allowed to compete in the United States. If special guest referee Shawn Michaels showed favoritism towards Undertaker, then HBK also wouldn't be allowed to compete in the U.S. And of course, the WWE Championship was on the line. Tension was building between the three Superstars throughout the entire match, and then it suddenly all came to a head. After Hart was arguing with HBK about one of his counts, HBK swung a chair at Hart. Hart ducked and Undertaker was knocked into next week. Would this lead to Bret Hart's 5th title reign? Or would the Deadman rise once again? Rey Mysterio, Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera ECW Hardcore TV -- February 6th, 1996 Although Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guererra had many classic confrontations in WCW, their rivalry can be traced all the way back to their days in ECW. Mysterio and Guererra were every bit the high-fliers that WCW fans remember, but they also had a touch of "hardcore" as well back in their ECW days. You won't want to miss this showdown. Psicosis vs. Rey Mysterio, Jr. ECW Hardcore TV -- September 26th, 1995 Many remember ECW for the barbed wire, weapons and hardcore action. But there was also some great technical and high-flying wrestling taking place. Rey Mysterio and Psicosis' rivalry was a perfect example of this. These two went on to face each other again several times in WCW, but you won't want to miss the earlier days of this rivalry! The Junkyard Dog vs. Bob Orton, Jr. June 13th, 1985 Junkyard Dog was one of the most popular WWE Superstars during his career and the fans were clearly behind JYD in this one against The Ace, Cowboy Bob Orton. There wasn't anything flashy about Orton, but he was calculating, methodical and equally as devastating. Who would come out on top in this encounter between two Hall of Famers? The Undertaker vs. Mankind WWE Survivor Series 1996 -- November 17th, 1996 After being Buried Alive by Mankind, Undertaker got a rematch and this time Paul Bearer was suspended above the ring in a cage. If Undertaker won the match, then he would also receive five minutes alone with his former manager. Undertaker and Mankind have had several classics over the years and this Survivor Series match is no exception. Psicosis vs. Jushin Thunder Lyger WCW Monday Nitro -- December 6th, 1999 Jushin Lyger is known world-wide as one of the greatest high-fliers of all time. So when he faced Psicosis on an edition of Nitro, it came as no surprise that the two had one of the greatest Cruiserweight matches in Nitro history. You won't want to miss all of the breath-taking action in this one! Vince McMahon vs. Zach Gowen WWE Vengeance 2003 -- July 27th, 2003 Zach Gowen may have been one of the most unlikely WWE Superstars of all time. He certainly was the only one to wrestle with only one leg. In this match he took on the Chairman, Mr. McMahon. Mr. McMahon laid in some severe punishment early on in the match, and it later turned into a gory blood bath. Could Gowen overcome the odds and take down Mr. McMahon? Victoria vs. Trish Stratus WWE Survivor Series 2002 -- November 17th, 2002 While Trish Stratus and Victoria are two of the hottest Divas to ever grace WWE, they aren't afraid to get down-right physical either. In fact, this Survivor Series encounter was a Hardcore Match for the Women's Championship. Just how hardcore would these Divas get? Tommy Dreamer & Jazz vs. Justin Credible & Francine ECW on TNN -- June 30th, 2000 Tommy Dreamer teamed up with Jazz to take on Justin Credible and his former manager Francine in this ECW Tag Team Match. Jazz was used to taking on several male opponents in ECW at the time, while Francine was more accustomed to accompanying them to the ring and helping to accumulate wins. Could Francine match Jazz's strength and experience? And what kind of hardcore moves would the Innovator of Violence unleash on Justin Credible? Tommy Dreamer vs. Jerry Lawler ECW Hardcore Heaven 1997 -- August 17th, 1997 This was ultimately a battle between ECW and WWE. After ECW had invaded RAW one night, Jerry Lawler had been bashing ECW. Tommy Dreamer, one of ECW's leaders. decided to settle the score with Lawler in the middle of the ring at Hardcore Heaven. With so many emotions involved, this match quickly turned into a bloody one. Could Dreamer defend the honor of ECW or would the wily veteran Lawler come out on top? Miss Hancock vs. Major Gunns WCW New Blood Rising 2000 -- August 13th, 2000 WWE fans know her as Stacy Keibler, but while she was in WCW she was known as Miss Hancock. Miss Hancock didn't take to the ring very often, but at New Blood Rising she faced the Misfits in Action's Major Gunns in an ROTC (Rip Off The Clothes) Match. You won't want to miss one of the hottest WCW matches of all time! The Undertaker vs. Jake Roberts WWE WrestleMania VIII -- April 5th, 1992 Undertaker is a perfect 13-0 at WrestleMania, and this was just the second notch in his belt. Undertaker mercilessly pounded on Jake "The Snake" Roberts throughout the match. But Roberts was able to hook in his patented DDT. Nobody hardly ever gets up from that move, but the Deadman somehow came back to life. Now you can re-live that historical moment in WrestleMania history! Snuka gave Jarrett a concussion, and promptly fucked up Souled Out six days later, because Jarrett couldn't wrestle in his three match series with Benoit, which was one of the top two pushed angles going to the PPV. Beast 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 I canceled my subscription a week ago, so May is my last month. I've had since the beginning, and I've watched each month become worse and worse. It's interesting what matches they choose, but I just never get around to watching them anymore. This selection of matches doesn't make me regret it.
