Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2005 Well, I have a bunch of videos that I wanna put onto a VCD. I tried making one with the Nero program I have, but it was TAKING A HUGE amount of time just to encode one video. The video was a 94MB file, and I was there for a good 20 minutes, and that video was only 5% encoded! Does anyone know any program that is better that Nero to make a VCD? Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2005 sounds like you had to convert it to mpg.... If it's mpg already all you have to do is drag, drop and burn. I've never had a problem like that.
Guest Fook Report post Posted June 2, 2005 If the file is not in mpeg format, you can convert it using TMPGEnc (just google it). Depending on the size of the file and the speed of your computer, converting can take several hours. Also remember that a VCD can hold 800mb of data, not the usual 700. Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2005 I swear if I have to hype this program again....WinAVI. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to convert the thing to a mpeg. Actually you can convert it to a VCD and it will burn it from that program. Get the freaking program people.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2005 Also remember that a VCD can hold 800mb of data, not the usual 700. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did not know this Ripper - Is this program you worship free?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2005 I'll only say this....if you ever pay for a program that needs a registration key to work fully, its your fault. If you can find the program, you can find the way to unlock it. I won't give specifics, but its a simple Google search. If that is against your morals or whatever, then cool, but it COULD be free is all I am saying.

syxx2001 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2005 WinAVI is pretty fast. EOVideo is good and it isnt a resource hog like TMPEGEnc is.
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 Awesome. WinAVI is really fast! Just doing my normal computer usage, and the program is converting everything pretty fast. I even found the crack for it, so I believe that WinAVI watermark is gone now.
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 I converted a video to MPEG-1, and then I went to burn it in Nero, and it said that it wasn't the correct format, and that it would be converted to the Video CD format during the burning. Uhh, isn't it already in the correct format? Nero takes forever to convert it. That was what I was trying to avoid..
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2005 I don't know if MPEG-1 is correct or not. Can you convert it to anything else? I don't know about WinAvi.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2005 Using WinAvi, just convert it to VCD because it's exactly like converting it to MPEG. I did it and it works.
