All in the Family was a ripoff of a British sitcom.

 

I saw Madagascar with a friend and his son, and i thought it stunk. Sure, the audience is kids but movies like Shrek or the Incredibles where enjoyable for both kids and adults for different reasons. They tried a few out of date references, but bombed big time.

The Jeffersons were on All in the Family, but I don't think it was a "spin off" because they weren't featured all the time, which defines a spinoff, imo. I think that Maude made an appearance or two as well, but I could be wrong...
