KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH FOR THE NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

The Phenomenal AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. The Alpha Male Monty Brown vs. Abyss vs. A Wildcard Opponent (likely Sean Waltman?)

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels vs. Michael Shane w/ Traci vs. Chris Sabin w/ Trinity

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The Naturals vs. Team Canada (Young/Williams)

America's Most Wanted vs. BG James and Konnan (3LK)

Ron "The Truth" Killings (3LK) vs. The Outlaw

Lance Hoyt vs. Team Canada's Bobby Roode

The TNA debut of Samoa Joe vs. Sonjay Dutt

The returning Alex Shelley vs. Shocker

6-Way X-Division Showdown

Primetime vs. The Amazing Red (TNA Return!?) vs. Shark Boy vs. Delirious (TNA Debut!?) vs. Zach Gowen vs. Jerrelle Clark

Wow.. good to see Shelley and Joe on the cards. Both matches should be extremely fun. Who else would love to see Joe demolish Zack Gowen? I would.

DELIRIOUS?!?! WOOOO! Good to see Delirious is going to be on ROH. Awesome yet fun talent.

Everything match, looks at least enetertaining so far, especially the three title matches.

The 6 man could be fun too, as long as Gowen doesn't go over. Hopefully Delirious will be back so they put him over. Or possibly Shark Boy. Red or Primetime will be your most likely winners, however. I wish Mikey Batts was here instead of Gowen.

Roode/Hoyt will be an interesting power match, and could be one of the bigger "Big Man" matches in some time. Roode is great, and Hoyt has improved A LOT.

Shelley/Shocker should be great, both good talents and if Shelley is given some offense, it'll be fun.

Joe/Dutt should be fun, if not short. Dunno which way they'll go, cuz we dont know if Joe will be back after.

Outlaw/The Truth could be entertaining. I think Gun.. Outlaw has at least one entertaining match left in him, and Truth could be the man to pull it out.

America's Most Wanted will have a HUGE carry job here against 3 Live Kru, but they've done it before, so I'm looking forward to seeing AMW work their ass off.

Naturals v. Team Canada will be out of this world awesome. Kind of wish Roode was in their instead of Young, because it gives Team Canada some more to work with with a power guy and a flier. Young is great though, and won't take anything away from the match.

Sabin/Daniels/Shane should be a classic. Three Ways have really gotten better lately, and this is three of the best workers out there today. Sabin is in a zone in a TNA ring and Daniels is always great. Michael Shane is underrated.

King of the Mountain - Expect Waltman to be the last man in. Raven will interefere. Styles should win. Match will be fun, but not a classic or anything.

Predictions and Comments:

KOTM2: Styles vs. Jarrett vs. Brown vs. Abyss vs. ???

Styles wins a fun match.

Daniels © vs. Sabin vs. Shane

Daniels retains. With the addition/returns of Shelly and Red...and TNA wanting to bring in more foreign challengers...Daniels reign is far from over.

Naturals vs. Team Canada

Naturals retain. Although I could see Team Canada winning if they want the Naturals to be the faces chasing the titles. I think this will be a real good tag match.

AMW vs. 3LK

AMW wins I guess. They have to pull the trigger on either AMW's heel turn OR the Outlaw and BG James reforming on this show. I'll put my money on the heel turn so they can be ready for the Hardy Boys return in the near future.

Truth vs. Outlaw

I'll pick Outlaw with James fucking up somehow to set up the questions in the AMW/3LK match. I don't know what to think of this match. I don't think it will be terrible...but the roof is pretty low.

Lance Hoyt vs. Bobby Roode

Important match for both. Hoyt is ridiculously over...so I'll pick him. Roode is obviously favored by D'Amore and management...so he really has to bring Hoyt to a good match here. Hey...when did TNA get a midcard anyway?

Samoa Joe vs. Sonjay Dutt

Joe wins. Good debut match. Good guy to bring into the roster too. Big men who can work rule...and Joe is awesome.

Shocker vs. Alex Shelley

The observer site update says that Shelley asked D'Amore for this match to show he could work a good match with the lucha style. I'm sure he can...but I don't see him winning anyway. Shocker.

Skipper vs. Red vs. Shark Boy vs. Delirious vs. Gowen vs. Clark

Only Skipper and Red have a shot at winning. Red wins his return. Fans will love him...but I wonder if he's gotten better since his early return from injury didn't go well.

KOTM2: Styles vs. Jarrett vs. Brown vs. Abyss vs. ???

I didn't see the first KotM match (I was order every other weekly PPV by that point, and I choose Deadly Draw and the first show after Impact started), so I'm pumped about this because I think the match will rock. We know the wildcard is Waltman, but I think the only possible winners can be Styles or Monty. I don't think TNA will give AJ another 1 month reign and risk his credibility, so I'm going with AJ. Raven will either attack Waltman to try to get in the match or attack AJ post match to set up the next month's PPV. I'm betting on the latter because they don't have TV, so they almost have to do something for those who won't get to see the taping they're doing next week. And I think the top matches for the next PPV are AJ/Raven, JJ/Monty, AMW/Hardyz and 3LK/NAO.

Daniels © vs. Sabin vs. Shane

I gotta go with BPS on this. Daniels has been gold since winning the belt and I think they are going to let him take over Shane's spot as longest reigning champ to really put some heat on whoever takes the belt from him.

Naturals vs. Team Canada

I think this match is a toss-up. I like the Naturals, but I think TNA may want to change a title on the big show (kinda like VR) and if they decide that, this is that match. Either way, the winner won't have the belts long, because I'm sure we'll see reigns by heel AMW, the Hardyz and the Outlaws.

AMW vs. 3LK

I think we'll either see botched BG interference leading to an AMW win, or an AMW loss with them going ballastic after the match for the heel turn. In the latter case, which I think is more likely, I think we'll see something along the lines of Y2J/HBK from WM19 where they'll offer to shake hands with 3LK and then totally dick them to huge heat. I think TNA picked the right opponent for the turn because 3LK is so over.

Truth vs. Outlaw

I think this match happens later in the show than the tag match so that BG's botched interference can cause some doubt. I think what we'll see here is Truth going over Outlaw, but Outlaw getting his heat back by working over Truth. BG will run out, but instead of going for the save, I think we'll see him turn on Truth and then the camera will later find Konnan locker room barricaded or something. I don't think they'll be able to keep the Outlaws heel long though.

Lance Hoyt vs. Bobby Roode

I agree with BPS that this match is important for both. I think if TNA plans to work an extended feud between these to elevate them, which I think they need, Roode has to go over by some cheap method. If they plan to move them onto other things, Hoyt will go over. I think we'll see Roode and the hockey stick ekk this one out.

Samoa Joe vs. Sonjay Dutt

I think Joe wins a back and forth contest convincingly. They are going to want to debut Joe in a big way, but they don't wanna completely squash Dutt because he has a future with the company.

Shocker vs. Alex Shelley

TNA has a thing for Shocker, so I'm sure he'll win, but if I had the book, I'd put Shelley over him to capitalize on whatever notoriety he has from those dayum commercials.

Skipper vs. Red vs. Shark Boy vs. Delirious vs. Gowen vs. Clark

This match will definitely open the show and pop the crowd with alot of spots. I'm sure that either Skipper or Red will take the win, but TNA clearly wanted to get Shark Boy on the show to take advantage of his press from the lawsuit. I think this will be Sharkie's first PPV appearance since Victory Road. Good move I saw. One of these days, they might even let him win a match, though I don't think this will be that day. I think they'll put Red over strong like they did with Hector Garza when he first returned last fall.

Overall I think this line-up in an indication of the new direction of TNA. They smartly put together a more workrate orientated line-up than storyline drive because of the lack of TV. It'll be interesting to see if this works though. If the guys are off, the show will fall flat. If they're on, we could have the best overall PPV for the company since LockDown. I think if they had to go dark, they picked the right time, as the loyal fans will probably order strictly because this is the Anniversary show, and the workrate fans will tune in for Joe's debut and Daniels' match. Either way, should be interesting. I'll be watching for the first time since TP, thought I did get the Final Resolution DVD.

KOTM: AJ vs. Jarrett vs. Monty vs. Abyss vs. Waltman: It's obvious that AJ needs to retain here to start building a credible reign. I think this'll be great if they allow him to overcome the odds in strong fashion. Just for kicks, I'll call the order: Jarrett (by Abyss), Monty (by Waltman and AJ), Waltman (by Abyss, after Raven comes out and chairshots him), then AJ pins Abyss to retain.

Daniels vs. Sabin vs. Shane: This is just going to rock. TNA should ride Daniels' reign the way ECW rode RVD's TV Title reign. He should retain here, just so we can continue to see his kick ass defenses.

Naturals vs. Team Canada: Soon we're going to have AMW as heels, the NAO reforming, and the Hardyz invading. The tag straps will be floating between those guys soon, so why switch now? This will be a good tag match, as I like both teams. I'd like to see them prosper with the big changes coming to the tag division.

AMW vs. 3LK: I agree that the trigger needs to be pulled now. This is probably the weakest match on the card, but it'll still be a decent punch/kick-fest. AMW could turn heel at the next PPV, and the NAO could reunite here. Maybe BG leaves the ring but AMW gives a beatdown to Konnan, leading to...

Truth vs. Outlaw: BG comes out, turns on Truth, reunites Outlaws, boo yah. Okay, fan-booking aside, I think this would be decent, as Truth is fantastic, and Gunn isn't terrible if protected. The faster they pull the trigger on these angles, the better.

Hoyt vs. Roode: Should be a good power match, as I think Roode is awesome, and I've heard good things about Hoyt (doesn't he do a moonsault?) If they keep it relatively short, it could rule. I'm not sure where they want to go with this angle-wise, but since Roode is D'Amore's guy, I'm sure he has a plan.

SAMOA JOE vs. Sonjay: Joe in TNA. Wow. I think Sonjay will get in some decent offense, but Joe will beat the hell out of him and win. From here, I'd put Joe in a fued with Siaki (who is best as a heel). It would move Joe up the ladder over the next few months, as well as give TNA another good midcard act in Siaki.

Shocker vs. Shelley: Great to see Shelley return, and even better to think that he won't be misused this time. This should be a good X match since Shocker is pure lucha, and Shelley is competent enough in the ring to keep up with him.

Elix vs. Red vs. Delirious vs. Sharkboy vs. Gowen vs. Clark: Red will win this, and if he's returned to his former glory, maybe he can challenge Daniels at the next PPV.

At the next PPV: AJ vs. Abyss, Raven vs. Waltman, AMW vs. Naturals (gimmick match, heel turn), NAO vs. Konnan/Truth, Samoa Joe vs. Apolo w/ Siaki, Daniels vs. Red, Jarrett/Monty vs. Hardy Boyz, and one or two good X Division bouts.

Shelley v Shocker interests me. If this match gets any time, someone needs to notify me right away so I can think about getting a replay or something.

Magnus, I dont get what you mean by calling the order. Its not really that applicable in a KotM. :S AJ has to win. He needs a long reign, since hes lost too much credibility by getting shafted in the past. This is the match to build towards AJ/Raven and JJ/Monty.

I agree with everybody regarding Daniels. I can see him as being the first double champion. Shane and Sabin arent that hot a workers. They have worked enough together and will gang up on Daniels who will prevail victorious.

I think the Naturals will return, even though Team Canada will give them a good run for their money. Were approaching the stage of a Tag Team Tournay in TNA. :headbang:

I dont think AMW will turn completely. I think they will pick up the win cause they are the golden boys. I see this being before Truth-Killings, for obvious. BG will leave Konnan high and dry for this one.

TNA need to set up the NAO . I dont think the turn will be explicit. Something along the Benoit-Eugene-HHH chair shot of Vengence past.

I think we need to give TNA credit for building a good roster, with enough in the way of angles and talent. Both Hoyt and Roode are on a high. I think Roode will go over, and will see him having a match in the ME some time soon.

It all depends how long Joe and Dutt are in TNA. I think that this will be the sleeper of the card. Joe has to go over strong, but Dutt will give him a few scares and they will end up with a handshake at the end.

Same as above. Shocker cant lose his heat and if Shelley is staying for a while he should go over. I dont see any point of Shocker winning, but he has to end up strong. I forsee a closer match than Joe-Dutt above.

We may get a banana skin here. This is for a shot at the X-Div title? That means Elix is out IMHO. Delirious I would say is out, since I think its a 1 stop show for him. Clarke has been in the lower echeleons of TNA, but I think he will put in a good showing. Is this elimination? Please not Gowen. That leaves Red and Shark Boy. I think we may get the shock of our lives with Shark getting it after Red takes everbody else out. Not a bad thing to do, since hes got the law suit going on and all.

Didnt we get Raven-Waltman at HJ? I can see it happening again though, after Raven ruining Waltmans chances. I can see Waltman at the top of the ladder and Raven comes through the crowd. Pushing the ladder over, Waltman falling out of the ring and through a stack of tables. AJ-Abyss is deserved too, but no stip please. Also, I prefer the idea of Monty injuring JJ in KotM and we dont see him till Sacrifice, were he interferes costing Monty his title match, setting up Bound for Glory. If NAO do reform at Slam, its a given that K-Dawg and Truth will want 1st crack at them. I can see them doing this again at Sacrifice, in a dumpster match. AMW will turn full blown heel at No Surrender, but I think them and Naturals with a gimmick has been to done to death so far. Daniels vs Red is a good idea, pending the outcome of the 6 way. I think we would see Joe vs Siaki vs Apolo. TNA always like to include a 3-way on their cards, with mutual respect all round and the forming of a stable.

I didn't think this deserves it's won thread since it's still a rumor...

Jeff Jarrett out of KOTM match?

some kids at the TNA forum are saying he is, one said this.......

I'm a member of the PWInsider Elite Section and yes, it's true. Now here's where it gets interesting. Mike said that he has heard from 2 different soruces that the reason Jeff is out of the KOTM 2 match is either A, it's another cost cutting that's going on TNA (I HIGHLY doubt that) or B, they are going to do an injury angle that leads to Jarrett getting injuried.

After I heard this, I was not going to post it because I wanted it to be a suprise for us TNA fans. As far as which reason is the reason why Jarrett's not in the KOTM match is because of reason B.

..... I guess there is some like at pwi about main eventer being out tof the match. and only elite members get to know it's jarrett.

but again it's still a rumor.

Jarrett out of the main event? Do you have anymore info on this? I dont get it unless the Jarretts are leaving TNA? I'm shocked other places havent reported this....part of it seems like it could just be a cheap way to keep Jarrett out and he has an excuse for a one on one match for the NWA title next ppv, not sure if I like that idea.

The card, top to bottom, looks great and I can't wait to check it out tomorrow. It's been depressing seeing the company at a virtual standstill and I'm sure that will affect the buyrate for this one unfortunately. But in a standstill, seeing new talent come in and old talent return is a definate positive step ahead, as well as Rhodes completely out of the company right now is probably a good thing. I hope TNA addresses the TV situation at this ppv, dare I say even announce a new deal or at least a return to FSN.

I went back to the board, and there are no new updates...the TNA kids are pretty much taking it as a fact though.

But it's still a rumor to me.
