zyn081 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 For me without a doubt, it must be the months of March, April and May 2004. Everything was clicking for TNA. The title scene was hot. There was 6 title matches in 7 weeks and another shortly after. We saw the 1st KotM, which for me, with time, has become the best match idea in the past few years (easily beating the Elimination Chamber, Ulimtate X and Six Sides of Steel). We also had a very intriging tag team tourny, with some of the best indy talent on the circut. And who can forget that this is when the 4 man team X Cup picked up with showcasing the best of no guts no glory, high risk here we go. Unfortunately, JJ became champ again, we had stupid stip and frequent tag strap changes and the X Div grew stagnant after then.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 I agree, they actually had me interested in the title matches. Too bad Chris Harris was involved.
Frosty 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 The best time for TNA was between when Raven entered and when Hogan and Jarrett did the angle. Once Jarrett and Hogan did the Japan guitar angle and hogan bitched out on TNA for the WWE the show started to go downhill.

Once Jarrett and Hogan did the Japan guitar angle and hogan bitched out on TNA for the WWE the show started to go downhill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hogan didnt got back to the wwe in late 03. infact he wasnt seen on wwe tv from june 03-the hall of fame ceremony and wm 21. Didnt he get his hip replacement after that? I never saw any of the ppvs, the first time I got to actually watch tna was the 1 cent special ppv. I followed the prompotion by reading recaps online and watching the show in scramblevision untill my cable co. got rid of the analog ppv channel. Impact was the first time I got to see it every week, So I guess my fav time period was last summer.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 The period I watched (virtually the whole SEX angle) was really engrossing. Nothing since has caught my eye, so I haven't ordered in ages.
Jericho2000Mark 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 From the time Raven came in to when he lost to Jarrett. All of TNA's best angles took place(S.E.X, Jarrett-Raven, D'Lo's debut, Kash-Trinity, Styles Title quest, Shark Boy-New Jack pairing) and every show was exciting with someone new debuting every week. Guest ShootingStylesPress Report post Posted June 18, 2005 I think around August 2003. First Ultimate X match, and weeks upon weeks of awesomeness. One week included Low Ki vs. Styles for the title, which I recall enjoying.
zyn081 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 I agree, they actually had me interested in the title matches. Too bad Chris Harris was involved. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He wasnt offensively bad. I remeber he was vicious in KotM when it came to him encountering with Raven. From the time Raven came in to when he lost to Jarrett. All of TNA's best angles took place(S.E.X, Jarrett-Raven, D'Lo's debut, Kash-Trinity, Styles Title quest, Shark Boy-New Jack pairing) and every show was exciting with someone new debuting every week. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For some reason, it was more like a cluster . . . . to me at that time. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2005 Between July 10th, 2002 and April 30th, 2003 (Destiny, 'nuff said). There wasn't a single part of any of those shows I didn't enjoy on some level...even the midget beating off in the trashcan. How many awesome matches did they have each week? At least half of them. How interesting was Jeff Jarrett? The most he ever was in his entire career. I still enjoyed the summer of '03, but as soon as Dirty Dutch came onboard, damn...remember the Rushes? I loathed that time period, and haven't watched TNA regularly since King of the Mountain.
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2005 My favorite TNA time is probably from Jarrett's victory over the Truth for the title (Nov. 2002) to Styles successfully defending against Raven (Aug. 2003). The booking was great (Destiny, S.E.X), the matches were awesome (XXX vs Red, S.A.T's), (Red/Lynn vs XXX), and the AMW/New Church, AMW/XXX and Styles/D'Lo series. That period had Russo's prints all over it. I am not a Russo mark by any stretch of the imagination, but I do admire the way he finds something for everyone to do, not just the top guys. This was the only time TNA effectively used Shark Boy (remember the New Jack skits), and they even managed to make Sonny friggin' Siaki interesting during that period (I loved the Ace in the Hole character and his whole feud with D'Lo). I picked the Raven defense as the end because after that, Styles reign went on to barely defeat Dusty and lamely drop the belt back to Jarrett in preparation for Hogan's imaginary arrival. Overall, that period was TNA's best period, IMO. The guys were over and people were popping for more than highspots and namevalue. I'd love to see TNA reach that level again. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2005 I loved all the shows until Destiny, as Corey said. I was on here discussing those first shows if I remember correctly.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted June 25, 2005 I'd say right now, actually. Christopher Daniels is the X-Division champion and Raven is the Heavyweight Champion. That's what I wanted months ago, now with the bonus of Jeff Jarrett being depushed. On top of all of that, the contender for the World Title is Abyss and Samoa Joe just debuted. I'm in hog heaven. Russo has been good to TNA both times. Siaki has dropped so low since then, I really like his feud with D'Lo too. With hindsight, the Hogan gig damaged TNA a lot. It was rightly portrayed as going to be huge and then was a nice start to it, but then the bottom fell out and TNA were in a mess. Funny that JJs reigns have played major roles in the favourite times of TNA.

Ok, My mistake... he never went to the WWE, he just went on the "inactive list" directly after setting up a mojor angle... either way.. that was still the best time TNA had since their inception. Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2005 My favorite period was the summer of '03 where they ALWAYS had at least one good, interesting match every week that they consistently built up to. Everyone was motivated and it featured one of the best booked battle royales I'd ever seen (the lucky thirteen gauntlet that made Chris Daniels look like a threat by having him in nearly the entire match despite already having wrestled a ten to fifteen minute match about five minutes before it started, started the split between Kash and Abyss, and set up Raven's victory perfectly and got him a direct, one-on-one victory against Shane Douglas, who he was feuding with at the time).
