Early Smackdown Spoilers

Recommended Posts

Got these from someone who was at the taping

This weeks draft pick was Hassan and Daivari

Main event is Guerrero vs Mysterio

More detailed results should be up in the morning

Geez, they're really raping Smackdown of their talented and popular workers, and adding a bunch of crap from RAW, aren't they?

This is so sad. The death of Smackdown unless Vince at least let's Heyman take over the brand again, without making it "ECW." I think that might be the closest we'll get. ECW can't be ECW on UPN, so it'll be Smackdown with a bizarre ass roster but with Heyman behind it...

in my dream world that is, where I can still pledge allegiance to Smackdown!

Really dissapointing draft so far for summer Smackdown! shows. I was looking to go to the Great American Bash in Buffalo, the following Smackdown here in Rochester (will at least attend that since we are supposedly getting HHH/JBL V. Cena/Batista), and the final Smackdown! before Summerslam in Toronto. Now I'm not sure. Pretty dissapointing for people looking to buy tickets for the Smackdown! brand so far, and I was a really big mark for it.

How did SD get 2 drafts? I thought the brands didnt get 2 picks until the final week? Also if SD didn't actually get 2 draft picks, since when does the manager follow his/her client to the other show?

There's no rhyme or reason to the draft, no specific rules laid out. During the initial draft, tag teams were allowed to be drafted as one pick, and Vince even got all 3 nWo guys as one pick as well. What use would Daivari be by himself?

Shit, I forgot about that little loophole. Actually, wasn't it Ric Flair who drafted the entire nWo to RAW with one pick? I don't know what good Daivari would be on his own, but from what I've seen, he isn't too bad in the ring. Maybe he could've moved on to a solo career of sorts?

He would've been a nice addition to the Cruiserweight division.

It's getting more and more difficult to conceive myself summoning the strength to watch Smackdown anymore. Benoit is saddled on the sinking ship.

I wonder how they'll explain both Muhammad *and* Daivari getting picked. They can't use the whole 'wrestler and manager' package to explain it away, since Carlito jumped apparently leaving bodyguard Matt Morgan behind.

So the only spoiler is the draft pick? Everyone already knew Eddie/Rey Jr. was happening thanks to constant pimping on TV for the last week.

They can just say that Daivari's not officially part of the roster, and that he just follows Hassan around and tries to help him. A true "manager" should really help a talent wherever he picks up work more than he should be a part of the actual active wrestling roster.

Where are the rest of the spoilers? Shouldn't they be available by now?

Im actually glad this is just the draft pick spoiled right now.

SDs last two picks will be their biggest, since they will obviously get a champion and another top star, so thats not too bad.

Hassan will do better on SD since they can pipe in some canned heat and build him up as a bigger heel and edit his matches to make him look better.

I got this from the Lords of Pain forums, who got it from GameFAQs:

Hassan was the draft pick sent to SD tonight here in Tucson.

Next week will feature Hassan vs. Undertaker vs. Booker T vs. Chris Benoit vs. JBL vs. Big Show for the new Smackdown Championship. Teddy Long had the supposed new title with him in the ring (in a bag) but never let it out for us to see.

Some notes (I don't remember all the results so I can't really give a full spoiler report):

The arena was about 3/4 full. I'd say there was about 5-6 thousand people.

Undertaker was by far the most over, followed by Rey and then Eddie (who still got a ton of heat).

The crowd had no idea who London was. Everyone marked out for his cool moves, but nobody really got behind him the way he deserves. His match was interrupted by the debut of the new LWO (they were called the Mexicoolos or something like that) - Juvy, Psicosis, and Super Crazy.

The Tucson crowd loved the LWO guys but several people were confused as to why they beat up Chavo.

The Eddie/Rey match was unbelievably disappointing. Eddie carried Rey to a very watchable match but it was all ruined with a crappy (and very predictable) WWE finish. Half of the crowd cheered for Eddie following the match to show respect - a reaction to which he smiled and patted his chest. The other half started chanting "Eddie sucks!" and Eddie went back into character and grabbed the mic and told us that we were all a bunch of "wetbacks." I'm white though... but it still hurts, lol.

Joey Mercury Beat Hiedenreich

Paul london and Chavo went to no contest when the Mexicools came down in a lawn mower (Psicosis, Juvetud and Supercrazy)

Hassan beat Big Show

Rey beat Eddie

This from wrestlingplanet.com:

Velocity:

Booker T beat Billy Kidman

Benoit beat some Jobber

Scotty 2 Hotty and Shannon Moore beat TNT (Garrison Cade was a part of this tag team)

Orlando Jordan beat someone

Smackdown! (What I remember)

Muhammed Hussan w/ Davari beat Big Show

Hussan is the newest pick

Next week will be Benoit vs. Booker vs. JBL vs. Taker vs. Hussan vs. Show for the new Smackdown! Heavyweight Championship

MNM Member Joey Matthews beat Heinrich

Rey Mysterio beat Eddie Guerrero

Paul London beat Chavo Guerrero

Damn, two weeks and Benoit's already pulling Velocity duty.

I'm surprised nobody have mentioned the fact that the Mexicools come down in a LAWN MOWER.

So the Mexicoolos are faces? I thought all those durn foreigners from other lands were always bad guys!

Plus, I thought Juvy was working heel against Funaki. Although that means nothing since it was just Velocity. It'll be interesting to see how the WWE trained (people different from you are EVIL!) marks will react to the 'coolos.

Unless they're forgotten bout in 2 weeks.

Or they actually play tweener by eventually beating up every cruiserweight.

Eh, too much thinking for 4 in the morning.

SmackDown's new World Title has NO credibility already(not that the WWE Title had a whole lot after Bradshaw held it), what the fuck is Hassan doing competing for the belt? He was treated as a complete jobber not a day ago... Why aren't Rey or Eddie fighting for that Title? They are the only two keeping this show alive ratings wise, and their fued is the best thing going on the C Show. I was kind of hoping they would turn the brand into ECW or at least draft Batista to the show, but this was the worst idea possible, next to having no Title at all.

It's common knowledge that Vince is a racist cunt, shit like that doesn't surprise anybody these days.

The fact that they are bringing in a new title sucks. Then again we all know HHH is a NWA mark so he probably wanted to keep the big gold belt on Raw.

The return of the Undisputed Champion? Not really, as there will be a SD! champ too.

I see 3 scenarios.

a) They keep both Wold titles on Raw WITHOUT a unification. (Like at the moment) and have a SD! champ.

b) They have a unification match on Raw to merge the WWE and World title. (Stupid idea) The WWE title that Cena hold carries the lineage of the WWE and WCW. The title that Hunter holds starts when he was handed the belt). A title with three different lineages is too much.

c) A champ is traded to SD! before the 6 -way takes place and Theodore Long's plan has a spanner thrown into the works.

This is going to sound completely crazy but The title match is in the opening segment and Hassan actually wins it. Then in the very next segment, later in the show, or somewhere later in the night the draft pick is revealed and it's whoever has the belt (Cena, Christian, Jericho) is now on Smackdown. Long rules that he unfortunately cannot proclaim Hassan the official Smackdown champion and the 2 have a match later in the evening where Cena wins and "unifies" the 2 titles. Yes I say Cena because I still think Cena is going to somehow end up on Smackdown again. In the upcoming weeks Hassan can wage war on Long for screwing him over and then Hassan can maybe one day be the U.S champ.

I hope dearly for the third one to happen. This is bad.

And the lawn mower thing. That is freakin' awesome.

The Lawn Mower thing has totally flown over my head? What's the significance?

"Eddie mows my lawn."

Mexican's work as lawn tenders, y'know. You've never heard that stereotype?
