Anya 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 I bought RE Outbreak File 2 and put the disc in but it's actually Dead to Rights II. It has the RE label and everything. How is this possible? They're not even made by the same company. I bought it at Gamestop and threw away the receipt. Am I screwed or can do you think they'll let me exchange it? Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 You're screwed. Why the hell did you buy that game anyway?
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 WOW, how the hell is that possible? Maybe if you bring the game to them, they will exchange it, but I doubt it, since they probably won't believe you bought the game in their store...
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Go to another store--buy a RE Outbreak 2 used. Keep the receipt. Now swap the discs with the one that was actually DIIRs and take it back to the 2nd store, and tell them it was like that when you bought it. I'm assuming both were used, but if not, you can still do it this way. If they know you well enough at the first store, they might exchange it for you, off the record. Depends though, and would technically be against policy.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Either that or just rent another copy and swap it. I'd go with Option 1, but if you are desperate enough, you can do a rent/swap.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Well, that's kind of mucking things up for the video store, because when somebody else rents it, they're going to have to go through a bunch of hassle to exchange it for an actual Outbreak 2. My only guess is that it was a botched pirate disc, but I've never heard of pirate PS2 discs good enough to pass off as the real things.
