zyn081 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Shouldnt this be in the Other Promotions folder? And, out of curiousity, isnt that CMP's last PPV. Wasnt Daniels the main hope for taking the belt off him?

zyn081 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 isnt that CMP's last PPV Huh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isnt this supposed to be Punks last PPV? And Daniels is facing Hardy according to this. Isnt Daniels being portrayed as ROHs saviour? :S

Guest *KNK* Report post Posted June 24, 2005 Actually it is because it shows your blatant disrespect towards the company by calling it "PPV". PPV=Pay Per View. Which is totally different from any other name that can and should be properly billed for that night "Show" "Event" "Taping"... "PPV" isnt one of those. To respond to the question you posed... 7/8-in Long Island is the current "last show" for CM Punk to appear in ROH against a yet un-named challenger of Punk's choosing. He isn't confirmed obviously to appear at the Woodbridge show. Daniels isn't ROH's "hope". "The Booking office"-the kayfabe head in charge for ROH haven't even mentioned Daniels as their "hope" nor have they attached that to anyone. Daniels made his ROH return in Morristown at the 6/18 "Death Before Dishonor III" SHOW. Daniels only merely challenged him for the title to which Punk ran off. cm punk also confirmed Christopher Daniels would not be the challenger for the title on 7/8 due to his "long in-activity in ROH". (i.e his bullshit cop-out)

Just because one types PPV instead of another word doesnt mean that the person "blatantly disrespects" the promotion. If you really want to know, I think that ROH is the future of preserving classical wrestling, thats why I can understand the current state of booking. If youve got a stick up your rear end, take it out on somebody else. Im just talking. I know what the letters PPV mean. And IMHO, when wrestler A calls wrestler B out, down the line, theres no avoiding the collision. By the confrontation itself, you are building up to something. Toshiaki Koala 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 Getting back on topic, I think it would be absolutely fantastic if the ROH crowd booed this psychopath out of the building like they did his brother. And, knowing how they've responded to other "big names" in the past (Jeff and Konnan, anyway), there's a very good chance of that happening.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 People on the internet like Matt a lot and he doesn't seem to be like his brother in terms of wrestling ability. He'll get a big pop and he's working with a guy who he can definetely have a good match with.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 ...difference being that Jeff and Konnan were well-known for stinking up the place by then.
Toshiaki Koala 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 Anyone who defends him is obviously unfamiliar with the Matt Hardy Show. He's a good wrestler, yes, but come on. He might as well just get the restraining order placed on himself.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 Yea, Matt Hardy might be a bit off, but if he can deliver in the ring- who cares?

Calling it a Pay-Per-View could be right if you really wanted to get technical. Your Paying to View the show, no matter how you look at it. No its not a traditional PPV, and really it's just a show. But you understood him and there was really no need to start a fight out of nothing. Just my $0.02, canadian.
