Guest clockworkraven Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Wasn't Michelle McCool the one that stuffed up that handspring back elbow on Dawn Marie? Alright move, just misjudged the distance a little. Carlito, Charlie, Chavo, Chris B, Chris J, Chris M, Christian, and Christy. That and 'S' make up a third of the roster in the game, Jesus.
Silence 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 AKI only let you edit appearances. Yukes let you edit the moves. Neither one let you edit both (you'd have to clone a guy to a CAW spot in the AKI games).<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know. I guess I should have pointed that out earlier. Too bad we'll probably never see the day of a wrestling game with both editing appearances AND movesets included. Although even if those are available on the Smackdown games on the PS3 in two years, I'm still not buying the system due to the expensive price, no hard drive, bad controller, etc.
dubq 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 Seriously. The full list of legends better make up for the nonsensical inclusion of more than ONE Diva Search contestant aside from the fucking winner. And even then it's baffling to me why she has to be in this game. Fuck you WWE, I don't want T&A in my videogames. I want fucking WRESTLING. (wow just like tv)
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 I would settle for being able to clone guys to a CAW slot and editing them there.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 I can see why they included some of these diavs and fired wrestlers, as this has been in development for awhile. Saw the videos, at leats Torrie has proper ring attire in this one, though again they have antoher diva (mccool) wrestling in heels. YUKES why must you torture us so? Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 I would settle for being able to clone guys to a CAW slot and editing them there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would settle for the ability to edit rosters, ala HCTP. But when it comes to these games, settling is pretty much all you can do.
Da Maintenance Man 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 Did you expect anything less, Andrew? Remember, while it would be better to make a system based off of 100s, I don;t even get upset by it anymore. Its dumbed down for those who buy the majority of copies: The average to above-average wrestling fan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Meh, the stats in these games are kayfabed anyway (mostly). Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2005 Thank god it's Chavo and not Kerwin! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that will likely change otherwise this game will be horrifically outdated. Besides at least Kerwin has that hilarious Sinatra-esque theme song and drive s a golfcart to the ring. That would make for a cool game entrance. That being said he will be chavo in the game as we know Yukes isnt good for updating gimmicks or attires. and as chavo he had no discernable character excpet for being Eddie's nephew, so I guess thats why he went along with the change. anyhow that chavo entrance is SPOTON and seeing Lillian actually in the ring is way cool! excpet for the fact that her voiceover work seems a bit odd, butat least she sounds interested. Glad to see the gory bomb animated right but again we have issues with chavo holding tajiri with nothing but air on his back as his hands didnt reach. and JR calling it a backbreaker (and also "hes a slippery devil! AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA)was hilarious and is that the new thing for finsihers? super slow motion? it looks cool but it would get lame after awhile. and who is that ref, didnt look like Earl, I guess they changed it already. is that like in SYM when you could press a button to get a matrix view or replay view? Silence 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2005 Overall 86? My ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At this rate, HHH will be rated an Overall of 98. AndrewTS sounds more right every year about the crappy stat system for the Smackdown games.
Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2005 Of course HHH is going to be a 98 or somewhere at 95 or above. Wasn't he a 97 in the Smackdown vs. Raw game? I remember I matched him up with Bret Hart and Bret dominated most of the match, but HHH hit about four moves, hit a Pedigree, and the damage to Bret was so great that he got the pin. I was like "WHAT THE HELL!?!"
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2005 Overall 86? My ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At this rate, HHH will be rated an Overall of 98. AndrewTS sounds more right every year about the crappy stat system for the Smackdown games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah. I remember when games would tout how "realistic" their stats were. Since HCTP the stat system seems more for are reinforcing the kayfabe rankings. In SvR I think they improved (cruisers were practically worthless against hosses in HCTP), but SvR's gameplay and story mode had changes I didn't like. The gameplay seems have regressed a little. The countering system is ridiculously inconsistent. It's even worse online. I understand lag is going to happen, but it seemed like every single match the timing for counters was different. Plus there were matches where it seemed to be impossible to counter anything. I'd have my legs worked over for several minutes straight, without even a lucky escape or break. Playing with friends is fun, but don't even bother with strangers. I've fought too many 98 Point Batistas with turbo-pads (quitting a game if the match is turning my way) to ever bother with that again.

I never bought SVR because it sucked anyway, I just played it with my half-brother a year ago and I couldn't recall HHH's SVR Overall for that reason. Anyway, I guess 103 Overall sounds more like it. Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 2, 2005 How the hell does Rosey get snubbed again (Not that I'm complaining that much, it's just a pain to get things realistic with CAWs), yet fucking Jindrak gets in? It makes absolutely no sense. Bitching aside, I'm glad Haas got in, although the lack of MNM is pretty lame.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> God knows. Then again, Rosey hasn't exactly shown much of anything while Jindrak was a decent --- if painfully bland --- worker.

Silence 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2005 Considering Orton was an 88 in SvR, I think 86 is much better. And wow, Orton actually looks good in this year's game.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably the only reason he wasn't rated an 88 this year is because he isn't the World Heavyweight Champion anymore. 86 is still kind of overrated for Orton, though. Guest Coffey Report post Posted September 2, 2005 I think Orton should be on par with Shawn Michaels stat wise. A little more speed, a little less heart/endurance. What's HBK's stats?
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2005 Considering where he is on the card, I can accept Randy being an 86. It just makes things so much better when I beat them with an up and coming CAW in the 50s or 60s. Come on, folks, you know damn well Trips is going to have a rating in the upper 90s. Its been the same way for the last three games, why the hell should it change now? Because he's not on TV right now? It really doesn;t matter all that much how tough the opponent is. You can still beat them if you know what you're doing.
