dubq 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 How TNA's game will do all depends on the developer, IMO. I personally hope they get EA BIG to do it. The same guys who do the Def Jam series. They based their system off of the No Mercy system, and tweaked it a bit for Def Jam 2 to make it more of a fighting game. So if they just stepped back a bit and made a wrestling game like before, it would probably be pretty good. As for SVR2006 - I'm getting hyped. The last one I got hyped for was HCTP and it honestly didn't disappoint me. I will still probably rent this one first, though. The only downside to that is that my local Rogers usually only gets 2 max copies of whatever wrestling game in, so it's never available for the first few weeks. Guest clockworkraven Report post Posted October 21, 2005 Hollywood: all I have to say is that it beats the shit out of my CAW. The problem is that they keep the bandana on. Couldn't they remove it after the entrance? Or is this one of those 'alternate outfits' that explains so much?
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 Cool, some of those Hogan screens show old school Kane. I guess that's one of his alternate outfits.

Perfxion 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 His real theme is Voodoo Child, and why spend the money for the song JUST to have it in the video game? Old Hogan: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/660/660400p1.html
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 His real theme is Voodoo Child, and why spend the money for the song JUST to have it in the video game? Old Hogan: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/660/660400p1.html <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True but he didn't start using Voodoo Child until he'd been a member of the nWo for a bit. Technically they could use the 'normal' nWo theme.
Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 The theme he's using is an obvious nWo rip. Maybe they couldn't obtain the rights to the song for some reason. I remember there being similar problems with people like Booker T and Flair in past games.
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 Wierd, I always thought it was an original WCW composition and therefore would've been included when they bought the company. Either way.. bleeeeh.
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 I like all of them. I'll be buying nWo Hogan first because I always liked nWo Hogan more then all the other Hogans. And then the Hogan of today and put him in Season Mode cause I have a feeling you'll unlock a storyline then.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Is it just me, or is the fact that each progressive version of Hogan shrinks in height by an inch funny as hell? And I am going to have a wonderful time beating the living hell out of each version in turn. And I used to be a Hogan mark from day one, when he beat the Sheik. dubq 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 I rented DOR2 for Gamecube today, just for the sheer fact that I hadn't played it and I'm trying to hype myself up a bit for this game. Well, the idiots at Rogers gave me DOR... the first one! I was wondering why the damn game seemed so familiar. That's what I get for skipping the intro... argh. I gotta admire them for paying such close attention to the powers of aging. And, personally, I'm all for a DiBiase squash of 80's Hogan. And I *better* get DiBiase's theme in this one or I'm going to be absolutely pissed.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 no updated tights for batista is pretty much inexcusable, how lazy is THQ/Yukes? the hogans look ok, hollywood at least ha s the cool black and white entrance but with crappy nwo ripoff music (actually I think the nWo theme was not composed by wcw, probably stock music that they added the nwo soundbites to) and how come hogans never wrestle without the do-rag on? can they just not animate his bald head well enough? anyways Im kinda excite by the new game much more than last year. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 hogan 80s looks better on DOR2, at least he had his cross chain on there. and it looks really dumb to see hogan 80s on the chyron (sign-will they ever learn?) but the model looks spot on so not a bigge I guess. He look smore like hogan 1990-91 than 80s but whatever. Batistas entrance is fine, the problem is the pyro should go off when he does that little dance pose thingy. and on closer look nto only doe she not have updated tights, that is the same model as last years I think, cuz he has the longer hair and earrings too. Knew it sounded too good to true. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Where was that revealed? The photo looked pretty legit.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't mean the back of the box photo, that's been around for awhile (if that's what you mean) It was another photo of a GM MODE Trophy, that was revealed to be photoshopped. And all the detailed info I posted earlier on the mode was made up by some moron.... SO everything is still up in the air right now. But to make up for that, here's a neat bit of info on the Move Sets from GamingRing: "You can pick the 4 other grapples. You don’t HAVE to have “Power, Submission, etc”. You can Mix and Match choices including Power, Technical, Luchador, Martial Arts, Old school, and Submission." Finally, certain CAWs aren't forced to have a whole set of Submission grapples. There is still very good chance GM mode is in. All the signs are pointing to it, and most people with BETA copies have more or less hinted that it's in. We'll see.... In other news, GamingRing posted a Paul London Vs. dubq 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 I'm really getting hyped for this game, man. I didn't even want to touch last years SvR, so at least that's saying something about how they're going about it this year. Who are you guys taking through season more first? I'm torn between Christian, Daivari or Hassan. Probably Christian, though...
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 I've been thinking bout that from the beginning. Christian is pretty...normal, the only good thing about him is that he's cool in real life and he has a cult following but in the game he isn't different. I'm saying Hassan, Masters (put the Masterlock on everybody will rule), Booker T (dunno why) or Rob Conway. Don't ask me why but I just want to play with them. Maybe Orlando Jordan as well cause I like his music theme..... Hassan because of his music theme and I always liked him, Masters because of the Masterlock and I just want to be the next HHH with him and beat everybody as the World Champ (evil me), Booker T because I never play with him but lately I just want to see him as the WWE/World Champ again and Rob Conway cause of his music theme ("Just look at me") and he deserves a push. Rant over.
