Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 so what are the predictions for a SummerSlam card at this point? Jericho or Edge against Cena for the WWE Title, or will HHH have wormed his way into that picture by then? Batista will defend the title in his hometown, that's almost a given...I'm guessing Hassan goes over UT so that the evil foreigner can lose in the nation's capitol...and I think it's safe to assume Dave will retain, though I can see Vince deviously allowing Hassan to win the title in DC... HBK/Hogan for sure. Eddie/Rey in some sort of blowoff gimmick match. Anything else? So far, this does not sound like 35 or 40 dollars worth of wrestling... Guest jm29195 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 I'd like to see the Mexicools being involved in someway or another, is it to much to ask for Juvy against London and Psicosis/Crazy against MnM? Benoit against Regal for the US Championship? Carlito against RVD for the IC belt? BWO against someone?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 when are RVD and Orton scheduled to return to action, anyway?
Boon 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 RVD was out for a few more months, last I knew. Randy, I am not sure of.
Guest Ransome Report post Posted July 11, 2005 Batista/Hassan seems poor for their supposed second biggest show of the year. Their options are limited, since I don't want a Batista/JBL feud to be stretched out to August nor do I think it would be wise to rush the obvious Batista/Undertaker feud. Either way, Batista cannot afford to lose against whomever he faces. I can't see WWE having enough faith in Cena/Jericho as a singles match to mainevent (although, knowing WWE I wouldn't put it past them to stick HBK vs Hogan as the final match of the night) Summerslam. Cena/Edge would be more likely, although I think using Edge's MITB shot would be better saved for a single-brand Raw pay per view down the line. There's also the possibility of using both Edge and Jericho, and tossing in Kurt Angle (what else would he do?) for a fourway. At this stage, it seems like a lacklustre card, but that seems to be the trend for recent Summerslams, with the exception of the excellent SS '02.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 Judging by when they initially had their surgeries, RVD should be ready to do a Summerslam program. Orton, on the other hand, could do a program for No Mercy, but that's really pushing it considering the severity of his injury. His first major match will most likely be at Survivor Series against Batista.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 Cena vs Jericho - WWE Title Batista vs JBL....again. - World title Benoit vs Hassan - US Title RVD vs Carlito - IC Title HBK vs Hogan
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 As deranged as it sounds I'd rather have an inconclusive JBL/Batista match at this upcoming show and do the blowoff at SS. Hassan has absolutely zero business being in a main event, much less at a big PPV like SS.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 "Projected SummerSlam Card" It's not even off the first page yet and we're already getting repeats.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 so go post in that one, I musta missed it...get over it... EDIT: Mods, either delete this whole thing or merge it with the one already in place...thanks...
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 Cena Jericho isn't going to last the next 7 or so weeks, so I think they'll blow that off on free TV and have Edge take on Cena at Summerslam. If they feel JBL is above a US title feud with Benoit, I could see him in a 3 way with Batista and Hassan, although I shudder at the thought of how that match will pan out since JBL would be the best worker of the 3 and that is not saying much.
