WWE and ROH... in Cahoots?

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, or maybe it's already common knowledge and I'm just in the dark on this one. But it seems more and more likely to me that Vince has been or currently is working with ROH.

It doesn't seem so far fetched at all, considering he did the same with ECW. Guys like Foley, Cornette etc. have been allowed to work there. CM Punk was apparently signed by WWE, but then won the ROH title and defended it this weekend.

Then the more recent: Matt Striker on RAW, Matt Hardy mentions ROH, an ROH sign in the front row all of RAW.

It might also shed a little light on why WWE has been so open with their firings and even going so far as to pretty much promote them on their own website, if a lot of those who were fired will likely appear in ROH.

Has this ever been mentioned on any reputable news sites before and I just never heard about it?

...Thoughts?

Oops... I should have checked the "Return of Matt Hardy" thread... it's being discussed there as well.

Vince or JR or Johnny Ace or someone in a position to do something about it is hoping ROH will become an ECW-esque breeding ground for the WWE which they can take talent from, so in the same way Al Snow, for example, was allowed to work for ECW while under WWE contract, Matt Hardy and CM Punk are being allowed to work for ROH.

Foley and Cornette work indies all over the place.

Matt Striker on RAW

Matt Striker has only worked ROH twice, and was only used cause he was fired.

if a lot of those who were fired will likely appear in ROH.

Akio and possibly Haas are bound and maybe the Dudley Brothers. Other then that, none of them will be brought in except for a Straight Shooting.

I thought this was common knowledge? I brought it up when discussing the Punk situation and no one seemed to remember.

They've worked together for some time now.  Dreamer and Richards have made appearances for the group as well.

IF by "work together" you mean WWE pulling Richards out so he couldn't do any matches in ROH after he appeared at one show.

There's nothing there, folks.

The ROH relationship that I am picturing compares more to the relationship WWF had with Smokey Mountain. They used a couple of their workers and mentioned "Smokey Mountain Wrestling" a couple times on TV and in their magazine and that was it. Of course it was a little different as it was Cornette's involvement in WWF that sparked this, but Smokey Mountain was a nothing promotion and there was nothing much to gain but WWF having another feeder promotion and getting a couple smarks excited.

I had thought the deal was solely for appearances/run-ins and not actual matches, as it was during his injured leave?
