RepoMan 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2005 I was pretty disapointed. It had a few laughs, but the whole thing ended up being pretty much a paint by numbers romantic comedy. And at 2 hours it was way too long for this sort of thing.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted July 16, 2005 I never got to see it. I went to three theaters to see this movie and all three were sold out well in advance (as was Charlie) forcing me to watch War of the World. I have a feeling Crashers and Chocolate Factory just raked in a shitload of $$$ this weekend.
Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted July 16, 2005 Really? I saw it yesterday and found it be the funniest I've seen in a long time. I'll give you the fact that they could have shaved 30 minutes off of it because it did drag, but the first hour had me in stiches. I need to see it again just for the one-liners alone. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2005 I also thought this was one of the funniest movies in a long time, and Vince Vaughn stole the show. I'd gladly pay to see this again.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2005 I loved it. Me and my friend were laughing the whole time, although I think he may have been uncomfortable when Vaughn was tied up and almost being raped by the artistic son .

Guest Damn You Helmsley Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Normally I'm not too fond of the 'Frat Pack' films but I'll admit that Vince Vaughn is the man.

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted July 24, 2005 I really don't like Owen Wilson but I don't know why. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didnt like him at all untill this movie. Ditto with Angelina Jolie untill Mr and Mrs Smith. I mean as an actress, because I obviosuly thought she was hot. But this movie is the only time I have even remotly enjoyed him in a movie. SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2005 I saw this today. The first 2/3 of the movie was hilarious, and the crazy redhead that Vince Haugn seduces is cute as hell (though I'm sure she used a body double for the nude scene). The problems start after the two leads leave the Secretary's house (Christopher Walken). Nothing particularly funny happens for the rest of the movie, nor does anything really make sense plot-wise from then on either. Not even a surprise cameo from Vaughn's "Old School" castmate can really save the final act. I thought the subplot with the gay son was unfunny and pointless, and its a shame that the subplot about the girls' mother (Jane Seymour) hitting on Owen Wilson is just dropped halfway through the movie in a way that didn't make sense.
