People are complaining that he jobbed to Booker because "Booker hasn't done much in a while?" Before the draft Booker WON a feud with Kurt Angle, and they're pushing Sharmell down our throats. He's a top 4 face at this point. Now, I'm not the biggest Booker fan these days, but I can tolerate and respect him, and people need to accept that he's going to get a steady but unspectacular push on SD! And to his credit, he busted out some new/old moves in the GAB match, and looked highly motivated, possibly Marc Mero syndrome, but a good sign either way.

 

As for Christian, he isn't a WWF main-eventer. He just isn't. That isn't a bad thing, he's a good hand, a great entertainer, but he's not a guy who the general public will buy as a world champion. He's too small, and his work is too basic. He's perfect as an ace midcard heel, a US Title guy, a tag team champion, maybe a one-off title shot here and there, but that's it. He hasn't got a ton of face time on SD! yet, but wasn't he the last guy eliminated in that SD title/#1 contender match after the draft? That has to count for something. I love Christian, and I've been defending him as a single for years, but I'm so fucking SICK of seeing people bitch and complain about how unfair the system is to him. Fuck that. The guy has a great spot.

He eliminated a couple guys in the 6-way match, he beat Booker on TV leading up to the PPV...WTF?!? Christian marks are WAY too demanding.

What the fuck are they going to do without Smackdown. I mean their 2nd brand could be cancelled forever, and all you guys care about is Christian getting a push. Christian might not even have a job if Smackdown is cancelled.

But you also need to remember that the potential (not confirmed) Smackdown cancellation is still over one year away. A lot can happen in that time, so its probably not worth speculating about.

Exactly Bob, the record speaks for itself. Its not a written rule that heels have to lose much more than they win, look at HHH and JBL.

If this report is true then Christian does have a reason to be upset, but then again its his fault for thinking that the Smackdown writing team was going to transfer his position and heat that he was getting on Raw, over to the Smackdown brand and overshadow their main heel that they created in JBL. It has been only a couple of weeks, but I think I can see where this is going. I have seen it before and I hope it doesn't go down like I think it will.

And HHH and JBL are both big, strong dudes who can believeably beat most guys. Christian is a skinny guy who does nothing of note in the ring. He's not a power wrestler, he's not a high flyer, he's not a great mat wrestler unless you count chinlocks as mat wrestling......to have him winning all the time wouldn't be believeable. He'd be perfect for a Honky/HBK style secondary title run, where he constantly cheats to retain his title, but no more.

And so he should have a better win-loss record precisely because he IS a heel who cheats.
