typical republican debate

romney: they hate our freedom!

Guiliani: they hate our freedom!

Mccain: More war! Because they hate our freedom!

Paul: Actually, they hate us because we're over there. Not because we're rich and free. This is all in the 9/11 report.

Guilini: How dare you blame us for 9/11! They hate our freedom!

or

Mccain: we represent small government!!

Paul: then why are we bugging phones and checking people's emails?

Would you like to explain how the Republican Party still stands for small government? Or how Paul is a kook? Or will you just stick to flamebaiting drivel and pictures with the knowledge that King will defend you to the point of risking a stroke?

I don't know who "King" is and I don't need anyone to defend me. And if you think I'm "flamebaiting," go ahead and try to get me banned. Again. You stupid piece of shit.

Would you like to explain how the Republican Party still stands for small government?

No, because I left my position in the administration for that reason, among others (chiefly the immigration proposals). I have no interest in defending the GOP on that score. Their spending habits have been indefensible.

Or how Paul is a kook?

...but this, gladly. All quotes which follow are my own words:

The value of a dollar is essentially arbitrary. It is dictated by import expenditure, export revenue, trade deficit, foreign aid, foreign direct investment (FDI), foreign government stocks ownership, ties to other currencies, and many other factors. There is no way to return to a "gold standard," which is merely one of many reasons why Ron Paul is a complete fool.

Amendment 28: Only batshit-crazy RINOs may be insincerely praised by a Democrat, in the hopes of making the entire GOP look even worse than it already does.

Yeah maybe, if "conservative" actually did mean "fucking nuts," like you seem to think it does. He also wants to go back to the gold standard, entirely abolish the income tax, eliminate the Fed, and do away with free trade. He's worse than Dennis Kucinich on your end of the spectrum; he's way out there with Lyndon LaRouche.

The moron voted against penalizing spyware, for chrissakes - 10/05/04. The vote was 399-1, since everyone else realized that if ever there were a legitimate time to use the Commerce Clause, that was it. Ron Paul? Not so much.

Like I said. Brain-dead.

Ron Paul is a fucking tool. And so are you, for thinking that that psycho has anything of worth to say.

I'd say Paul is a kook, but snuff is right: the more you look at it, the less "small-government" the Republicans are. I mean, I just think the idea of a full pull-out across the world isn't the best strategy in the long-term, nor do I think his economic policies will help us much (regardless of how we are eased into them). Right now we need some regulation and control, and Ron Paul isn't about that. While smaller government would be absolutely great (And I am really starting to believe that Obama is this choice on this as I look into it), Ron Paul's idea of "small government" is just too much (or too little, as it were).

Then again, I don't think Paul's endorsement of a Libertarian is going to hurt McCain much, as I don't think Paul was drawing in traditional Republican voters. He was attracting a lot of younger, college-age students who would probably vote third-party (or should be) anyways.

Ron Paul fandom (and oh yes, it is fandom) is a collection of mental illnesses poorly diagnosed, not unlike Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, depression, or being Jewish. There are no Ron Paul devotees who do not consider themselves libertarians – which poses a problem for this discussion, because not all libertarians are mentally ill. They are merely wrong. Even worse, these modern day Hare Krishna’s could no more explain to you the basic tenets of libertarianism beyond the standard mantra of “gaht damn federal government” than GW Bush could pronounce “encephalitis” correctly on his first try.

More here!

Ron Paul was the only hope to blast away the New World Order, now they're going to have a horrible reign over us all...

MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THOSE WHO DIDN'T LISTEN

I love it when KOAB posts here.

I try to break down that post and all I see is "BAA...BAA...BAA".

This is why the great men like Ron Paul fall upon the deaf ears of our society today. It's gonna really suck once this New World Order begins, in fact it'll start with the NACA. Only Lou Dobbs had the intestinal fortitude to report on this great tragedy that will hit our continent and ultimately effect the world today and set the wheels into motion of The New World Order.

King = 909, the guy who went nuts defending you a couple days ago. I never complained to him or anybody else about you. I just got annoyed when he (others, too, but King was the most vocal) claimed that people were whining or 'couldn't take it' when clearly it was a matter of not taking somebody's 'B.O. Hussein' and comically bad links seriously.

Am I calling you a 'stupid piece of shit' or a 'goddam queer'? Nope.

I have never claimed otherwise.

But to claim that B.O. Hussein is going to reduce the size of the government - when even HE doesn't claim that, though he does oppose his own proposals in order to give that impression - is utterly ridiculous.

Ending the huge expense in Iraq will reduce the size of the government. If you don't believe me, I'll link you to my blog to prove it.

I agree Paul wasn't drawing in the traditional republican voters, but it was interesting to hear most of the people cheer him, whenever he would talk about non intervention or how far the party has fallen. People agreed with the basics of his arguement: get out of the places we aren't wanted, and get back to a smaller government.

I don't think he could ever get their votes because he seemed a little too out there, and yes, with him in power it would be such a drastic change which might have scared some people off.

I can see a republican coming along in the future with a slightly watered down version of his rhetoric, and they could maybe have more success with voters.

comically bad links

Far be it from me to claim that wiki is the be-all of truth.

But all I actually said that the wiki link was the first one that came up on my browser when I did a search for "barack obama" and "bastard." That was true. The link was substantiated by other sources and the stories were true. Do your own search. This isn't super-secret knowledge. It's all out there. B.O. Hussein's father DID have another wife before he (illegally) married Ann Dunham. NO ONE HAS EVER CONTESTED THAT.

EVER.

There is proof - in the form of B.O. Hussein's half-siblings - that he is a bastard. This is not a matter of opinion. It is unvarnished fact.

Am I calling you a 'stupid piece of shit' or a 'goddam queer'? Nope.

I wouldn't give a flying fuck if you did.

Newsflash: if you think I represent the smallest, most marginal, most extreme version of Republican politics, you've never met a Ron Paul supporter in your life. Neither he nor anyone who espouses pretty much any of his positions could ever be nominated in my party, let alone elected in a general. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

He's the only man with a consistent special on fallen Iraq soliders, nearly everday there's a small tribute, he lets people know what's really going on in the country, and has the audacity to speak his mind on CNN... instead of slurping up whoever the hot candidate at the moment is.

Lou Dobbs is a true American hero.

I can agree with all of this.
