Feedback for 7/28 HD

Decent, if unspectacular show that rounded out the LTP card. A little promo heavy for my tastes (I added that recap of Hoff/SG just to fill out the show a bit and since Hoff's not around to further his stuff). My match is ok, but again I hit the wall halfway through writing it.

 

Should be a good PPV, though. Hopefully we get it up ON TIME this month

Nice psychology and workrate from the rest... Axel, the Tony guy, and wherever Zack was. Good job.

A little more serious feedback...

 

A very Rodez/Wright-heavy show, which is always good. I especially liked the part where Bill Watts morphed into Josie for one line. PK, loved the tag match, you got the interaction just right. Expect the first part of UX by the end of today.

 

The stuff with the NNMX and THR was great. Good building towards the HV Title match, thankfully MMoM wrote another match so the show didn't seem too empty, Alf brings teh hardc0re and I've probably missed something but not a whole lot.

Not to sound like a whiney bitch who has weird online obsessions and kills boards for no particular reason...some more, regular feedback from people would be great.

 

I'm not one to talk, I know, but the past few weeks it's one or two people commenting on each segment, even just a sentence, and that's it.

I think our record for the least amount of matches on a show is 1 but I may be wrong. There may have been a point in the dying days of IZ that there wasn't even a match!

 

At first I wasn't too sure about the Fatal 4 Way, especially being built in one week, but the opening segment did a good job explaining each man's reasoning for deserving a title shot.

 

Eh, wasn't happy with my work this week. I've had a two week layoff so I'm trying to work out the kinks out. But it doesn't change the fact I struggle at writing promos. I either get lucky or have this car wreck effect. Maybe I need to do the old stand-in-front-of-the-mirror trick.

 

Solid Otaku/Boricua bout.

 

As a mark for Bill Watts, I loved the way he was written. Josie's one-line out of nowhere was hilarious, even though it appears to be a typo. In a way, it ended up working better that way.

 

UX should be very interesting. Look forward to it at LTP.

 

Was the © OAOAST Entertainment meant to single the end of the first hour? Nice little touch if so.

 

I've been liking the use of pics the last few weeks. They were hilarious last week, and I guess Jericho will be used for Popick now. Maybe we do need to wresle again, SJ, so I can put you back in your place. Good win for SJ heading into LTP.

 

I'm calling it right now. Alf goes into AS as the #1 contender. It probably won't happen, but if it does -- remember, you heard it from me.

 

The final version of Heavenly Rockers DQ beatdown was completely different than what was originally written. That's why Cole apologized.

 

Wildcard tag ME! Just without the WC moniker. Ah, I remember the days when the ring announcer would say "with TV time remaining." Probably one of the shortest MEs in a while, but still very enjoyable.

 

Overall, good enough show. It probably wasn't a strong as it could of or should've been heading into the PPV, but I guess most are putting all their efforts behind their PPV matches.

I apologise for my lack of writing and indeed feedback of late. It doesn't help that at work they've added the smartmarks as a blocked site (wholly due to me repeatedly accessing it, I should think), so I get less time on the boards.

 

I shall be trying harder in future.

Widow, in storyline terms , Black Widow was introduced in a storyline with Spiderpoet aka Peter Cone, so thats why I included him, to make the match have a sense of importance

 

thank you all for the feedback. I cant write very long matches right now, but i hope to learn...any pointers, please let me know

I realised after I wrote the match that Boricua should have taken mor edamage, but so be it. I liked the Black Widow intro, and the Midnights/Rockers was fun, all of the interviews were pretty solid, I skimmed the last match but it looked good, my only complaint would be the lack of stuff from the upper card, but I understand there were issues there, so no biggie

Figured I might as well give some feedback.

 

Opening segment served its purpose. The addition of Gunner to the ME seemed kinda odd on paper, but this was a good explanation. I like the idea of Axel wanting to outdo Hoff with his PPV match, though I think it could've been played up a bit more. And any segment that includes an OMGPANTHER~!!! mention gets a thumbs up from me. I want my job back, btw!

 

TOE DRAWMUH~! Cool.

 

He gets in, turns Mr. Fresh Air(Otaku II, O2, get it?) around, and hits the Corporate Nightmare!~

You and Hoff have gotta team up to form H2O. That's money right there! The match was pretty solid.

 

History package to start off the Widow/SJ match well written and as stated, the use of pictures was nice. Not much to say on the match, but it seemed to convey Widow's character ok with the hair tossing and what not.

 

BAD ASS stuff with NNMX and the Heavenly Rockers. I always love reading the Cornette promos too, because they always seem to be spot on for him. Like I can read it and just hear Cornette saying every word.

 

Hit the bars, hit the clubs, hit the women. Not literally. That's abuse.

I actually laughed at that. Quality promo by KC, with MORE PANTHER NAME-DROPPING BAH GAWD!

 

I forgot all about Tim White. Whatever happened to him? Anyway, I liked the ME.

 

Promo-heavy show, but good overall. About 3 Panther references shy of being great, though. I mean, Brock was RIGHT THERE!!! Panther NEVER beat him.

Hey kids. Sorry everyone, especially to Alf who I know I left hanging, and thanks to PK for the recap. And if you STILL haven't read Hoff vs. Some Guy, you're missing out. Gotta get my plugs in.

 

Long story short, my roommate fucked up and I lost internet Wed. instead of Thursday as I thought. I'll be back on Tuesday, but I'm at a friend's now writing Brock/Hoff (don't expect much). I'll try to leave more detailed feedback then (and I got a few things to say, kids, mostly good), but right now I'm gonna jet b/c I have to leave in an hour and a half (as I said...don't expect much).

 

So go check out Hoff/SG one more time and I'll see you all on Tuesday evening.
