Guest MrBriggs Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Canadian Chick, you liked Tatanka in 1995, after he did the heel turn that basically killed his career? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What they should have done when he turned heel was have him drop the Tatanka name and costume. Go by his real name of Chris Chavis and wear suits to show how much he sold out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn, you know what? That's a really good point, I never really thought about that. He would have had a chance at getting over like that. I'm pretty sure the only thing he changed was taking the red streak out of his hair. And he did change his music from what I remember.. Slickster 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Has Vince ever been banned from an arena before? actually banned, not out-paid by WCW to reserve the rights to a venue. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY still refuses to let WWE do shows there (it's owned by SU and the trustees don't want it). WWE sued to use the place in 1999 and lost. It's a shame, seeing as how it's ~40,000 and is the biggest building between Buffalo and Ottawa.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Speaking of Ted DiBiase, you know what I would do with him? I'd have him manage Masters. Just have him come out after this match and cut a promo about how impressed he is with Masters and declare him to be the Million Dollar Champion. It would work because Masters wouldn't really have to change anything: he could have his usual pose-filled entrance, then the song changes to "Money." He could wrestle in DiBiase-style ring gear. The advantage would be that he has Ted DiBiase, promo man extraordinaire, in his corner to draw heat/cheat for him. AND, using this, he could have a kayfabe excuse to put more money up for the Masterlock Challenge.

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Slickster, I'm guessing you haven't seen JBL. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> JBL is to DiBiase as Buzzkill is to Road Dogg. In my opinion, anyway.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 The difference is that Chris Masters (the character) doesn't change; he's still the same cocky bastard he always was. And I wouldn't do the usual 'ridiculous displays of wealth' like JBL and Evolution; we would just know that DiBiase has the cash cause he's the Million Dollar Man. Guest J0bber Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Anyone got a pic of Tatanka from Raw tonight? I heard he got fat.
Richard 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Tatanka lost the red streak after coming back from his injury at the hands of Borga. His heel theme was the war cry followed by Dibiase's theme. I'll admit I marked for him as a kid, but really he was just a poor man's Charlie Norris.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Um, Tatanka was around a lot earlier than Charlie Norris.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Anyone got a pic of Tatanka from Raw tonight? I heard he got fat. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah, crunches don't appear to be a part of his regular workout...remember when Tony "Ahmed Johnson" Norris debuted on WCW and joined Stevie Ray as the new Harlem Heat against Booker T...yeah it's that bad... Enigma 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Tatanka was never a fitness guru during his WWF days anyways. He was starting to expand heavily during his final days in early-1996.
