I'd just reissue the Best of Starrcade 1983-87 double set.  That stuff is quite excellent and let's face it by 1989 Starrcade was crap anyway.  Hell, 89 was a goofy concept show with singles and tag round robins, so there wasn't much of anything there.  1990 had the goofy Black Scorpion thing and a tag tourney of little regard.  1991 had something lame, like a lethal lottery or something.  1992 sucked ass.  1993 had Flair and Vader so there's something, rest sucked.  1994 had jack shit.  1995 yet AGAIN was a concept tourney with New Japan vs. WCW.  After that I'm honestly drawing a blank for 1996 but there was likely some pointless but solid cruiser stuff.  1997 was a hideous show that was supposed to be WCW's big death knell on the WWF, but they blew it.  1998 had some nice cruiser stuff at the beginning but you KNOW they'll focus on Nash/Goldberg.  1999 didn't have shit.  2000 had some decent cruiser stuff but not much else.

In fairness, Starrcade 90 had a great brawl between Doom and the Four Horsemen (of Windham and Flair), plus some of the tourney matches (especially Chris Adams and Norman Smiley vs Konnan and Rey Misterio) were good

I always want more DVD releases, but it seems like the WWE is flooding the market within the next 6 months. I guess its the only thing making money though.

It was Windham and Anderson. It was suppose to be Flair and Anderson but, a few weeks before when Teddy Long was driving Flair around as part of a bet for Flair beating Reed at the Clash. Doom sneak up and attack Flair taking him out of the match.

Of course we all know what Flair was doing later on at the show.

greatness

I also like the pics wwe.com has up now of the meeting. I need Dusty Rhodes on my tv. He can be the manager for trevor rhodes. Or he can be Goldust Sr. bring dustin back and we got another tag team on raw.

Why don't they just release a Starrcade box set like WrestleMania?

Starrcade doesnt have the historical significance that Mania has. Do you really want Starrcade 1994 or 1999 on DVD?

Holy shit, Y2Jerk is turning into Jericho!

Thanks for the laugh. It really sounded like something Jericho would actually say.

Not to sound dumb, though, but did Jericho really say that at one time? I can't remember.

AFAIK, no. Just a parody of an old Dusty line.

I sigged it this morning. Y2Jerk > RobotJerk.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing that Starrcade 90 tourney match with Adams/Smiley vs. Rey Sr. and Konnan. It's more of a curio type match than a can't miss match for a Best Of collection though.

I think we can agree that there have been way too many Starrcades that were cheesy concept shows. Did any of these tourneys and round robin things ever lead to anything?
