jwpeer Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 I don't know about other people, but I subscribe to Comcast, and I was browsing On Demand the other day, and hidden deep down in the Other Sports section are highlight matches from various TNA PPV's. I thought this was an awesome thing, and it gave me exposure to TNA that I probably wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I wonder if they have any plans to expand this, and maybe even have their TV shows put ON DEMAND for a short while after they air, it could be a great idea.
C Dubya 04 Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 This seems to be ending. I've had Ondemand for quite awhile now, and they used to have 4 matches up and when one went down a new one took it's place. They've had about 20 different matches, but seem to have stopped updating it.

I don't like how they hide it under "Other Sports". Can't they just come out and say this is wrestling? Sad that it's ending, as I love On Demand, it's good for people that don't watch TV at the same time every day/week and just like to have stuff to wacth at a moments notice.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Yeah, that was a great idea. Too bad that most of the matches, IMO, were terrible. I laughed at how dull the Skipper/Daniels cage match from LockDown was. I think the only good match they've shown so far was the X-Division Gauntlet, actually. Sucks that it's ending. Was REALLY looking forward to seeing some matches from No Surrender in a couple months.
daileyxplanet Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 What they really need to do is showcase matches from their weekly PPVs, stuff that's only available otherwise via best of DVDs.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Yeah they do. Have something like a 2 or 3 hour "best of weekly" package available either free or cheap once Impact airs on Spike. Of course, you'd need to include about an hour's worth of X-Divison, hour's worth of the Tag division, and hour's worth of the Heavyweight title. So...let's spice this thread up. If they were to do something similar to what I just proposed, what matches would they choose to best represent each division during its weekly PPV run? Pick 5 matches for each divison.
Blade2kxx Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Sorry to bump up an old thread like this, but I wanted to let you know that TNA On-Demand is not dead. They just added the Daniels vs. Sabin vs. Shane X-Division Championship match from Slammiversary.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 I'll have to see if it's on my cable system later today.

Pick 5 matches for each divison. World Title: 1) King of the Mountain I - Truth vs Styles vs Raven vs Jarrett vs Harris (I believe): historic value 2) Deadly Draw - Styles vs Truth vs Raven vs Harris (underrated match IMO) 3) Raven vs Jarrett - historic value 4) Jarrett vs Truth - TNA's first big time heavyweight main event 5) Gauntlet for the Gold - historic value X-Division: 1) Styles vs Lynn vs Low-Ki vs Psiscosis - good match with alot of historic value 2) Styles vs Lynn vs Low-Ki (Non-ladder) - Awesome match, first X-D title change 3) Amazing Red and the SAT's vs XXX - Awesome match that kicked off an important storyline (plus Low-Ki and Daniels dickness in taking turns walking across Red's face is a sight to behold) 4) Ultimate X II Michael Shane vs Low-Ki vs Christopher Daniels vs Chris Sabin - everything the first one should have been (only to be eclipsed by Styles/Williams/Sabin in the monthly era) 5) Styles vs Waltman - though they were miscast (Styles as heel, Waltman as face), this was the first good match Waltman ever had in TNA Tag Teams: 1) AMW vs New Church: The surprisingly good match where the New Church went over 2) AMW vs New Church: The No-DQ rematch where AMW regained the titles 3) F'N Amazing vs XXX: Probably Red's best match ever (he benefited from being in there those guys) 4) AJ Styles & D'Lo Brown vs XXX: If I remember correctly, they had a non-title match and a title match, and the non-title one was better. If i'm wrong, the title match was great. Either way, good pairing. 5) AMW vs XXX: the best match in the weekly era (only surpassed by the Turning Point rematch and Ultimate X 3)
